ten minutes ago, one of the members of this family walked into the kitchen and said, "Hey, I don't smell any turkey".


my reply, " i know, i didn't shop for a turkey dinner this year."
"btw, we are going out for lunch and dinner will be whoppers."

Just got back from the matinee, saw Enchanted. It was awesome!!
Definitely a chick flick,family oriented. DH and the kids really enjoyed it as well!
The only thing I can say so far without spoiling anything is that all of you that are McDreamy(Patrick Dempsey) fans, will like the ending.
I actually cried a couple of times during the movie. I'm such a sap

the best thing i had today there was the taco salad.

even though we mainly have contact inside this little white box, i have come to know a lot of you.....and i still like you...

You can't tell us you live down the street from a known crack den... show us picture of you and your pretty friends (and you are gorgeous my dear)... tell us you go out drinking regularly... then not check in from time to time to let us know that you are still alive and well! No fair. You made friends with older-ish, responsible-ish type people... so deal with the consequences. Drop us a note so we don't lose friggin sleep over your well being!

Mac asked what I am thankful for. I am thankful that most of my family was together for a meal today. I am thankful that they all went home now. I am thankful that Mac started this thread way before I ever found my way to the Uni board so that I could join in and make friends with all you guys.

I'm sure I'm thankful for more things. Wine would be hight on the list right now.

Mike & Mac...I too, have been watching CSI since day 1. We thought Sara was okay....not happy nor sorry to see her go Let's say Survivor and CSI are DH & I's "quality time" together.... make sure all my chores are done before they come on!

Penny....are you heading out shopping tonite? Not us....I gots a chance to sleep in tomorrow (& the boy will just get up and watch tv or play computer games...so, he leaves me alone )and by gosh, I'm sleepin' in!!! (still haveta work tomorrow afternoon/evening tho)....

So, our dinner went. DH told his sister dinner was at 5. By 4:45, nobody here yet Still didn't know if 2, 3 or 5 were coming? Turns out, just DH's sister & her husband came.....so, saved a lot of "extra heating food up" for me. I'm not fancy, frozen pies cooked earlier today, green beans out of a can, stuffing out of a canister, cranberry out of a can, etc...you get the idea. Turns out it was a quiet, filling dinner...and that's okay with us. And the bonus today??? ....my house got cleaned! Now I'm good till next year!

So now, we focus our attention to Christmas and all those festivites.......

Strap on yer seatbelts....here we go kids!

I would agree....of all the places to live, Pittsburgh??? It's still cold in the winter, they get snow, they get wind and cold..... I don't get it? Then again, I hate cold and already live in Pa...so, what do I know?

I'm back from my mini vacation. We had a great time, well, minus DH getting the 24 hour bug.

Glad you had a good time (except for the ) and are home safe....look forward to trippie & pix!

Rose - I hope the evening went okay. I just don't get it when someone, especially a relative, can't be more sensitive to a child's fear's. Shame on your brother & sil for not being willing to put that dog up when your family is there.

Barb - Enjoy your sleeping in tomorrow morning. I plan to do the same. Unfortunately DGD had to spend the day with her daddy's family. DD said she was crying when she talked to her this morning wanting to be with her. She is now home & feeling okay as far as I know. I will see her for a little while tomorrow and be able to see for myself how she is.
