Sorry I am late wishing you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

We had a wonderful day. Slept in and spent most of the morning reading the ads. We left the house about 11:20 this morning. First stop was my mom's house for dinner at 12:30. We stuffed ourselves with turkey and ham (DM - you're not the only one!) and enjoyed that side of the family until 3pm. Then we headed to DH dad's house for dinner at 4pm. We stuffed ourselves again with turkey and ham (see DM - ham at both places). We had a good dinner and time with that side of the family and got home about 10pm tonite.

Things I am thankful for:
My mom and family - siblings, aunt, cousins

My father-in law and family - DH's siblings and uncle, cousin

My family of DH and DS

Finding this website and this thread!:cool1:

My life in general - pretty good - many blessings in 43 years.

And oh yeah - if WVU can win out, the Mounties may play for the National Championship!!!!

Will check in with everyone tomorrow - I actually think I am going to try and go to the mall at 5am. I haven't been for about 5 years - think I will give it a go. If I survive - I'll give you a report.

-Jennifer-

Happy T-Day everyone!

Hope everybody is stuffed and happy! Well not gonna stick around, have to be up at 3:15 am for the beginning of Black Friday! :woohoo:

Kohl's and JCPenney are open at 4 am tomorrow and I will be there!

So have a great Friday all!

I'm awake. Been up for about an hour and a half, but I'm still in my pjs. I'm dragging a little for some reason. :rolleyes1

I think I might have slept in more this morning EXCEPT my darling loving husband decided to open the blinds in our room after he got out of the shower. I glared at him when he did it. He said, "What? I thought it would help you sleep longer." Sunlight in the eyes does NOT help you stay asleep. Who in their right mind thinks that? See, that proves I'm married to a crazy man.

Well DH & DS smoked our turkey & the brisket but they left it on a little to long. They had excellent flavor but both were a little dry. I thought they had already taken them off and finally realized that they hadn't. But they were both still delicious! And yes Mike I do believe moistest is a word.

To all of you out there shopping, I hope you are having fun and get some great deals.

Tricia - Sounds to me like Brad was mad at himself once it came right down to it and he realized he had to get up for work and you were getting to sleep in! Sounds like something my dh would pull.

morning homies :goodvibes

since i went to bed at 2 this morning, i couldn't get my butt out of bed to go shopping at 4 this morning.

i'll just pay full price later.........

hoping everyone has a great weekend.
lots of football and pizza, eh........

Sorry I missed out on the official Happy T day chain.

I am thankful for my DH.
I am thankful for my 3 happy, healthy beans.
I am thankful for my Mom.
I am thankful for my In-Laws (Jims parents and sister and gramma)
I am thankful that Miller Lite only has 3.2 grams of carbs and 96 calories.
I am thanful that my MIL made the 4 story Pumpkin tort for dessert yesterday.
I am thankful that I met the best group of people on this thread.
I am thankful that I have friends outside this box that are wonderful to my family.
I am very very thankful that my bro and sil got the news of 5 fertilized eggs in the dish yesterday and 2-3 will be transferred on Saturday!!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day today.....GMombean took Kbean out for her first Black Friday experience :scared1: She is a shopper and this may be the beginning of her playing "elf" on Black Friday!!!

Barb - you have slept in enough now.....time to wakey wakey :lmao:

Tricia - did you throw something at him? That is something Jim would do as well....that and turn on the lights, let his alarm go off on purpose while he was in the shower, etc. Then laugh as he ran out the door to work

DM - :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 about the online thing.....the shipping only makes up for the amount of gas I would spend running all over the stinkin place

need to go back a few and "ketchup", I will be around today:flower3:

Mornin'..... I'm up :teeth:

Turns out, went to bed early...right in the middle of CSI, our power went out  ...for about 1.5 hours! :headache: Let me tell you....HAD I KNOWN, I would have made DH's lunch earlier last night..... You should have seen us...one holding the flashlight, the other pulling everything out of the fridge we needed at once...making sandwich and stuff via flashlight... :rotfl2: What a riot it was!!

And, sorta a shame...I was going to come back and post (because I forgot earlier) about "prepping the bird". I had just unpackaged the turkey and Bubba happened to be in the kitchen watching. I first pulled out the neck. He was like "Ewww...what's that?" Explained the neck and showed him the bone where it was cut off. Then, I drained the juices inside. Next, pulled out the, ahem, 'packaging' from the other end. His next reaction was "Ewwwww...why are you pullin' stuff out of it's butt?" :rotfl2: Explained those are the insides that have to come out. I then went to the fridge to get the butter to coat the bird and stick under the skin. (Now, my hands are a greasy mess by this point, so, sorry, no pictures.) I turn around, and low and behold I see my son standing at the bird with a flashlight peering into the rib cavity! :lmao: :lmao: He's standing there looking inside it saying "Mom! I can see it's ribs!" I just had to laugh....how amazed he was at this bird. I showed him the wings and legs....I guess when he's seen them (we live near a farm), he's not put 2 and 2 together I guess? :confused3 So was his lesson for the day!

Tracie...that is GREAT news for your brother! I hope they ALL 'take' and have a wonderfully big family ;)

An, know what? MY DH wouldn't do what the others would/did to wake ya up.... :sad2: he'd lemme sleep! :goodvibes

Not going out shopping today....WILL go Monday...on CyberMonday :rotfl: How backwards am I???? :upsidedow

Yeah - nice greedy nfl network with have the games on Thursdays and Saturdays from here to the end of the season. I have a huge rant on that, but won't bore you all with the garbage that the NFL has become....:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 All I know is that in the beginning of the 2nd quarter, the Falcons were winning and I can get the stats in the newspaper when I sit down with it later.

I am somewhere between A and B. A few years ago I was C.
Having Frank in school gives me the time to go out and get stuff a little more often.

sorry, he isn't even close to crazy yet..........and i do know crazy

i had that happen with the blinds and it was only one time.
mr mac is afraid of me and what i would do to him if he tried that blinds stunt ever again....:headache:

the one thing he still does and i choose to ignore it, is he makes his half of the bed when he gets up. so at 4:55 am each morning the bed is half made up.

he's borderline

1st off, warrick is hot

now on to your question.

you need another catagory for me penny.
i don't fit in to any of the above really.

i beg for wish lists from the family.
i usually start whining the week before i go to orlando in late september.
the only request i get are the shot glasses for hhn.

then i start nagging up to tday.
i nag and carry on until midnight usually just in case there is something on the black friday list i can go for.

mr mac gets a candy bar
sons get gc.

end of shopping experience

i usually get the wish list dec. 23 each year.
that's why i get gc.

i ususally start shopping for them on christmas eve.

last year one son told me on dec 22 he wanted an electric toothbrush.
it had to be a certain brand and type.
it took me most of that day and 6 different stores to find it.
it was too late to shop online for that.

Hey Penny I am an A. I am actually less than an A as I have very seldom ever bought anything online. I am more of a wait till the last minute kinda gal so I don't have time to get it shipped.
