Tricia...what'd you get? Tylenol w/ codine? (That's good 'stuff')....

....so, I feel I've "wasted" my day...hoping DH can make it end on a happy note :rolleyes1

The tiny label on the bottle (or maybe my eyes) says Hycodan Syrup. I highty recommend it.

I'm trying to hit on hubby too, but he just keeps lauging at me.

Okay, maybe I really should just go to bed.

Good morning!

Yes, it's my last night of work before my 6 day weekend (but I'm not bragging or anything ;) ), and I am just on for a quick drive by. I am hoping to catch up with everyone later.

Sharon, I am sorry about your purse! I did get that far in the thread.... That's horrible. I hope you called one of the 3 major credit companies and put a fraud alert on. You may have said that you did, and I just didn't have a chance to read it yet, but if you haven't, please do. It's very simple. Call 877-478-7625, which is Equifax's fraud alert automated line. If Equifax completes the alert successfully, they will notify the other 2 credit reporting agencies. The fraud alert notifies creditors not to issue new credit in your name without gaining your permission. So, in fact, it's a good idea to do this about every 3 months, whether you've had something stolen or not.

I'm sorry if you already know this, and I'm insulting your intelligence, but I've only skimmed the thread so far. Hope to catch up before we leave for Maine first thing Thursday morning (first thing in the Mike and Jodie house is hopefully out the door by 9 .... )).

Cheers everyone! Hope to see you in the morning! xxxx

all i see is a blue box with a white ? mark in the middle.
very unusual family..........and all only about a quarter inch big

I see a white box w/ a red "x".....however, interesting lookin' bunch :rotfl:

Okay, so I couldn't NOT post on the other thread linked on the last page....(about the no magic, no dreams)....HAD to do it!!!

Tricia...hit on yer hubby all ya want...eventually he'll cave

Jodie...know what you mean about "gettin' out first thing in the morning"..... When we left for the shore a few weekends ago, I told my friend I'd call her when we were leaving (so she could estimate our arrival time) ...which was planned for 6pm. Well, by 7pm I called her and got her voice mail (later found out she couldn't locate her cell while it was ringing) and left her a message that started out: "Now, you didn't really think we were going to leave at 6, didja?" She was :rotfl2: at the way that message started...no lie. Anyhows....have a good last "day" and I'll be glad when you get back to regular shift...cuz trying to decipher your comments is nutz.......

Gonna see whatelse I can get into before bed...... :rolleyes1

mac - i'm with you, only i'm holding out for a take-one, give away-two deal on family...where they get the energy to start sniping @ eachother before 6:30 am is beyond my comprehension.

Mornin' all!
Gemma, we will miss you while you have no internet service!
Sharon, your pics are great! You look too young to have a 24 year old!
Penny, not much longer!!!!
Barb, I hope the whiny kid straightens up and quits his mess before the end of soccer season! But you know you will always remember that!
Lori, great to have you back! And so glad you got that water on!
Tricia, I'm glad the doctor was able to help! If my DH sees this, he will prolly try to get me some of the stuff you're taking!
Tracie, hope you and the beans are all doing well! Your littlest (that's not a word...) was so cute in the pic at football practice!
Katie, good luck in school!
Mac, thanks for taking notes and catching up the homies that have been absent!:thumbsup2
Rosemarie, getting back in the swing of going back to school can be a real pain! I hope your kids will try to help make things easier for you!
Todd, be careful about posting about Kool-Aid at Disney!!! (LOL) You're among friends here, but I posted a similar comment on another thread and someone went ballistic, they thought it was terrible!

Hope I didn't leave anyone off. If I did, sorry about that!

Well I need to be getting ready for work, but I'm sitting here at the computer.....The kids just got on the bus. DS13 is acting a little better about football. He still wants to quit, but he is going to hang in there. This morning, he asked me why his jeans keep shrinking!!! The child is so skinny, it's hard to find any long enough, without falling off his body! The pair he first put on this morning were too short!!! They had been the right length, but all that held them up was his little bubble butt (the only thing with any meat on it on his 110 lb. 5' 7.5" body). He has worn this pair all of 2 times!!!!:scared1: I can't fit this child!!!!! He's too tall (and skinny) for kids and way to skinny for men's! And to top that off....he's PICKY!

Morning everyone!

Sorry if I was a little off last night. My doctor told me to take the cough syrup at bedtime, but I figured it would take it some time to kick in. I guess not as long as I thought since I was feeling no pain less than 30 minutes later. Prescription stuff is good stuff. ;)

Have you guys seen this thread:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=20540039

It's here on the Universal board, but look at post #9.

I did what I could for the guy that was still getting flamed on the No Dreams, No Magic thread. We'll see.

I have a bunch of errands today. FILs birthday is next week, but we'll be having his birthday dinner this Sunday. So, once again, I have to come up with a gluten-free meal and special dessert. I'm telling you, feeding my extended family has become a pain in the @ss.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you guys what DS13 did yesterday!!:lmao:
Yesterday morning, he left his cereal bowl on the table. He had eaten Cocoa Puffs and there was still some milk in the bowl. I left it there and was going to have him put it in the sink when he got home....DH and I had lunch at home and we were sitting at the table eating when the cat came in and hopped up in Zack's spot and started drinking the milk from Zack's bowl. Fast forward to the evening when I picked Zack up after football practice.....Zack and I were in the kitchen and I was getting supper ready and I was getting ready to tell him to put his bowl in the sink. I told him "Panther drank your milk that you left on the table." The look on his face was PRICELESS! He said "NOOOOOOOOO!" I said "WHAAAAT?" :confused3 He said, "I drank that when I came in!" I said, "didn't know know not to drink milk that had been out all day?" He said, "it was so chocolaty and delicious!" :confused3 Well, lets go back to when I was pregnant with DS10.....we lived in a 2 story house. (This could all be my fault!) I carried Zack down the stairs and one time we fell....I wonder if maybe he fell on his head???? I thought he knew not to drink milk that had been left out ALL DAY!!! The things we take for granted...... Now isn't that TERRIBLE!!! (but funny!) :lmao: :rotfl2:

Alison - I know the feeling! Must be a teen boy thing where their brains just don't kick into gear. (Warning - total gross-out story ahead)!

DS15 has been having 2 a day practices for soccer. Okay, no polite way to say it, but his feet (and shoes and socks and shinguards) STINK! They are not allowed in the house - basically he strips everything off in the garage (just feet, his clothes aren't that bad) and the socks stay out there until I'm ready to throw a load in the laundry. Even on the rides home in the car, I find myself opening his window and telling him to stick his feet out it as we drive home!

So yesterday when I pick him up, he's peeling his stuff off in the car on the drive home. Okay, he does that, the car stinks, whatever. But then he starts picking at all the blisters/calluses/loose skin on his feet. Okay, I can ignore this too. But then he takes what he's picking off and ... EATS it!  I suggested he stop immediately unless he wanted me crashing the car while I was vomiting! Sigh!

Alison, I also know what you mean about the clothes. DS15 is finally filling out some, but last summer we were at the point where he'd shot up 6 inches suddenly without gaining any weight. He was 5'11" and not yet 100 pounds! Try fitting that. The best suggestion I can make is to have your DS find a belt he likes - my son got one of these wide khaki ones (that I think look dorky, but he thinks are cool) at the Hollister store and he can cinch up any of his pants or shorts.

Found the same thing - most companies don't make smaller than a 30 waist, which is just huge on DS, although he's finally getting to where it fits now that he's around 130 pounds. We did find a few sites online (walmart.com) cheap where you could order 29's, although they didn't have them in the stores. That worked for a bit, until DS realized that those jeans weren't cool enough and he needed to wear only Hollister or Aeropostale brands instead which don't come smaller than 30's, which is where the belt has come in!

Oh, and my eyes are doing better. The doctor managed to squeeze me in when I took the boys for their eye exams yesterday so I got some drops. Unfortunately, it means I have to wear my glasses (which I hate doing!) for the next few days, but I'm surviving!

Even more surprising, all 3 boys still passed their eye exams with perfect vision. Just really weird because both DH & I are pretty much blind and all 4 grandparents (and I think all blood-related aunts & uncles) wear glasses too. Glad we don't have to worry about glasses (the braces are enough right now!), but not sure where they got these genes from!

Oh, and Lori - welcome back and glad you got your water back!

Sorry we never managed to get together while we were down there. So how'd everything go? What were some of your high points? How'd the whole "extended family" thing work out?
