Right before midnight:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JANET!!!!!

Hi all, or I should say good evening all-

Sorry been MIA, just a little chaotic here.
Many phone calls going in and out of our home lately, the last couple of days.
Phone calls from recruiters, for potential job for DH. Alot of frustration lately with a couple of these recruiters, promising a job for DH and then I guess they give job to someone else or other things happen, company went with someone else,or other things, etc. :headache:
DH was supposed to start a temp job today, for 2 weeks in length.
He went in at 10am today to the co. like he was told. Had a short interview with the president of the co. DH had the understanding by this certain recruiter that DH was supposed to start this job as soon as he had the small interview. Well, DH came home this morning after the small interview and was told not to stay until the pres. talked to the recruiter. The pres. of the company said this to DH. There was supposedly some kind of language barrier mix-up with the recruiter, the pres. of the small company, and DH. I guess now DH doesn't start the job until Monday supposedly :confused3
DH explained to me what happened. Dh and I have been in a little disagreement if he should even take this temp job, as the pres. of the co. needs to train DH how he has been doing the job. The pres. of the co. has a very strong foreign accent and is hard to understand. THe job is temp only, not temp to permanent. I told DH just do what you want, but I didn't feel comfortable with DH taking this certain temp job. I guess there's a lot of miscommunication between the recruiter and the pres. of the co. and DH is in the middle of all of it. No, DH is not being blamed for anything, just alot of mix-ups lately with the recruiter and pres. of the co. DH went to see today for the job. I'm not sure if I'm making sense. Thanks for reading this far :)
I should have faith that it will all resolve itself for this coming Monday :)

Anyways, yest. afternoon we went school supply shopping, well the tornado sirens went off by us. We had to go in the center of the store for awhile. Chrissy was crying b/c she was scared. But everything was fine in a few minutes:)

Trying to catch up with everyone here.

Keishashadow- Happy Birthday! :cake: :bday: party: Hope you had a great day!

Gemma- Welcome back! :dance3:

Marciemi- enjoyed your TRs! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Hi to everyone else :wave2:

Forgot to mention....
We saw Underdog on Tues. :thumbsup2
A little slow near the beginning, but cute movie overall :thumbsup2

I guess the other kids and the youth leader at VBS(vacation bible school) were talking about going to the movie after VBS on Tues. DH and I took our kids after VBS and went. We don't belong to the church that has the VBS this week, so didn't feel comfortable them carpooling our kids, people I don't know that well. I wanted to see the movie anyways.

Honestly, have to say i think it was a closer drive to most of the parks (except AK) than the AllStars.

There was a nice pool near an activity center in the back of the resort...place is so huge.

Hints:

* unplug the phone (s)...they'll call you at least 3 times a day trying to talk you into "free breakfast & tour".;)

* the pizza hut is surprisingly good (past the pool in the convenience store); did take forever even with picking it up; call early. DH said his sandwich @ bar by the pool was decent too.

* other guests were complaining about the free shuttle to WDW, evidently tended to run late.

more going into the freezer tonight.

Thanks for the pics Keisha!

I will definitely take your advice about those small things. It is just soo reassuring that someone can give an honest view of the place. We had bought the timeshare on Ebay and of course, on our guard as to what we may get!

Last "on the road" reply since we fly back home tomorrow morning!

Okay, it looks like somehow I missed a day here! Yesterday we let the kids sleep in. Around 11 we headed over to DD and DQ. I'd really recommend anyone skip DQ, especially in the summer time. We again got there for opening, only to wait in a 30 minute line in the hot sun (to get in) to then sait in all 30 minute plus lines even right then. If you just want to go for the games, fine, go later in the day. But if you really want to ride the attractions, at least in the summer there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. We tried opening 3 different mornings and every time there were about 3 day care groups of 100 kids each, plus a zillion other people. I'd definitely skip it on our next trip. Maybe on a week day in mid Sept, but not in the summer.

Back to the house to relax and swim, then we went to AK just to use our special FP's DS12 had gotten (he got to open the time board for them at rope drop and was given a FP for one ride for all of us but we never used it that day because of the rain). Just went in, rode Everest, did some pics/photopass, and left. One plus was that since AK closed at 7 and we got there about 5:30, they didn't even have anyone collecting for parking.

We then went over to BB which was PACKED, even still at 6:30pm. We stayed until closing, but did very little other than float in the lazy river and wave pool. We did the ski lift to get pics (about a 25 min wait) and waited a bit for the family raft ride, but that was it. Even at 7:45 when we checked Summit Plummet still posted a 90 minute wait. I'm sure they probably had cut it off already. Crazy. Glad we did it all the other day - go on a rainy day instead!

Then today we went to Epcot. I decided to skip Test Track so went to get Soarin' FP's while the rest rode it. We met at Mission Space and rode that (without a line). Walked across to the Land where we were already in our window so I ran in and got another set of FP's for Soarin' (9:42 window for the first, then 11:05). Went and did Nemo and then Turtle Talk. Then back to the Land. Rode Soarin' with our first set of FP's. DH had gotten some special FP's (good only at Living with the Land, Mission Space, Maelstrom, or HISTA) for answering a trivia question at Rope Drop, so we used it on Living with the Land next. This was a good deal because they weren't running the FP machines or line so it really worked as a "go to the front of the line" pass. The line was about 30 min at that point.

By then we were in our next Soarin' window but the kids were tired of it and hungry and wanted to head over to WS for food, so we gave our FP's to another family (line was 70 minutes at that point!). Stopped at Club Cool (several good flavors of cola - try and you'll find one you like and can refresh there a lot!). Stopped in England for Fish and Chips and candy bars (my kids like the "Aero" kind), then France for dessert. On to Japan for soup and salads (okay, we weren't eating this meal in the right order but didn't want to backtrack!). Took the friendship launches back.

Then the kids spent a couple hours pin trading and playing in Innoventions. Did the place where you build your own robot, stopped in most stores to look for CM's with pins, and finally left around 3:30. We've been home and packing ever since (it doesn't fit!). The kids just got in the pool and DH went to grab us some pizza. Look forward to catching up with you guys more and including some pics when we finally get back!

Sounds like fun days (I wish I was back- I don't wanna be home!). And yayyy- you kid's like UK choccie!!
