Oh, and I have a September birthday (so does DH), I think I told mac when it was, but in case not, its the 16th and I am going to be 38. My mom is the 1st, her brother is the 5th, her father was the 15th, me on the 16th and dh is the 22nd (his 40th) !! September is a very popular month around here ;)
I have a September BD as well, the 11th :sad1:

Everyone remembers it now, definately not as fun as it use to be! :sad2:

who me????:rotfl: guess we're the ones your mother warned you about. :rotfl2:

keep your nose clean (isn't that a disgusting saying?) & they'll roll off in no time:thumbsup2

yet another confirmation that no good deed goes unpunished;) when do you find out if she wins?

The end of the contest is this Friday...looks like she's at least going to be able to hold on through this round which ends today at 5pm. But then it's gonna be a tough race to the end!

Thanks for your support!!! ;) :thumbsup2

MARCIE - Thanks so much for the live mini-reports!! Those are so fun to read - it's almost like we're there too!

TRICIA - We had the same thing happen to one of our rear windows. DH luckily was able to pull off the inside part of the door and did something to the window motor and it started working again! Yay! I'm sure that would've cost an arm and a leg to fix. Hopefully you won't have to pay too much for it!

ROSE - My son loves VBS too! Our church has already had ours this year and we have it in the evenings. Hope that your kids have a blast this week at their VBS!

PENNY - Aw man - that's not good about your gas cap situation! And $500 seems like a lot of $$ for that type of repair. Can't you just put some Rust-eeze (you know - from the "CARS" movie :) ) or something on it? :upsidedow

MAC - HILARIOUS story about your sons and the paint!! :rotfl: I'm sure I would've cried too!

TRACIE - Sorry to hear that you've not been feeling like yourself lately. Hopefully it's just a quick rut and you'll be out of it quickly!!!

EVERYONE - Just wanted to say thanks again to all of you who have voted and are voting for my friend. I guess if anyone needs or wants the link, PM me your email and I'll send it to you!! Only 2 more days to the end of the contest!!! :thumbsup2

My mom's birthday is 9/11 too. She said she feels sorry for the kids born from 2001 on. In her words, "At least I got almost 70 years of my birthday being just another day on the calendar. They don't."

I am back with my car and fixing it was FREE. :cool1:

I pulled into our auto mechanics shop and he came out... looked at the window... rubbed his chin and had a look on his face like he was trying not to laugh. He opened the door and pulled at the sunshade film that I have clinging to the windows in the back (to keep the sun off the boys). He tugged and yanked and finally it came out. Then he pushed the button and the window rolled up. The film had gotten wedged in the opening and therefore the window was stuck. He handed me the sunshade and said, "That'll be a million dollars."

Ha, ha. Okay, so he made me feel like an idiot... but it is FIXED and it didn't cost me anything. :rolleyes1

mac........thanks for sharing that story about Todd....i guess he didn't like having the color hair he did and decided he wanted red :confused3

anyhow...I'm having a crappy day....i never made it to work.

Whoever is spreading "Murphy" and his laws around..... KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!I left the house this morning and left my car AND housekeys inside :headache:

Long story short, I got back in and after all day, I'm now off to take Ry to karate class, run to grocery store, beer store, home to pick up DH and change clothes and off to soccer practice and back home to send DH off to hockey.

Might catch y'all around 8pm/est ??????

Ok guys, heyyyyyy!! Im going to try and catch up on 37 pages- will just skim through them. Will begin my TR but you won't see it for at least a week because my parents still have the camera in Florida and I need pics in it. Had such a good holiday!! Only did Uni twice and IOA twice which is not enough in my opinion!!! But I was with kids so we had to put them first and do Disney and all. Grrrr. Actually I had mixed feeling about Disney. I met up with my friend who works in Magic Kingdom and we went to MK and I had such a brill time on all the rides and such. Then went to EPCOT with my family and I hated it. Also hated Animal Kingdom but was with Laura again so she made it fun. Anyway- you'll hear more in the TR. MWAH

Barb - hope you woke up to a much better day today:cloud9: don't worry about the trippie, I know how "stuff" gets in the way......and I think I saw that Murphy dude moving on out of PA:hug:

mac - :lmao: :lmao: red paint??!!?? guess that tops 2 out of 3 of my beans shoving a tic tac up their nose (not at the same time)

tricia - :headache: about the sunshade, but glad you got the window fixed

melissa - voting every day :thumbsup2 keep us posted

gemma -can't wait for the trippie, overall you had a great time, right?

There is no way in my Mommy mind I could have taken little man to football practice last night. At the time it started, with the heat and humidity, it was 102 over on the practice field :scared1: They are in full pads with full contact (well, as much contact as 5/6 year olds can give) and he was sweating his butt of Monday and Tuesday. Today is going to be a busy clean up day :laundy:

Have a great day!!!

Okay, just another brief summary in case anyone's still reading! Yesterday the internet wasn't being cooperative, so I couldn't post. We got to the MK early and checked in at CP by about 7:50 for our 8:05 reservation. Since we got caught in the line of folks waiting to be let in at 7:45 for their reservations, we certainly couldn't take pics of an empty Main Street like people talk about. But we ate quickly, saw Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore (Tigger was still on the other side of the room), and got out by about 8:45. That was nice because the park was still fairly empty and all the photopass folks were out there so we wandered around and got a bunch of pics from them and with our camera.

Then we did a "best of the best" day. Space first, then Pooh and Peter Pan, FP'd Splash, did Jungle Cruise and Pirates, rode Splash, train back to Toontown and Tomorrowland to do Space again and Buzz (with some shopping, TTA, etc. between them while we waited for FP's). Shopped down Main Street on our way out (and visited Guest Relations to get our tickets replaced AGAIN since they weren't working) and left the park by around 12:30. Back to the house for lunch, sleep, and pool time.

Back into the MK at around 6:30. We rode Space one last time (got Buzz FP's first), again did a bit of just shopping and people watching and rode Buzz. We went over to Main Street and got a spot near the entrance for the parade around 8pm. We just stayed there, although I went and got fries and soda for the group at one point. Useful tip - position yourself in front of an airconditioned store doorway while you wait. We were on the curb, but the blasts of cool air coming out kept us cool as well. Really didn't have any of the trouble I always read about - people being rude or crowding. As the parade started, we definitely got more crunched in, but no one tried to move in front of us or anything. Had fun socializing with all the folks near us, and we'd brought a bunch of light up character pens (that we'd gotten closeout cheap) that DS14 had fun passing out to all the little kids near us.

We left before Wishes and felt like salmon swimming upstream trying to leave the park! Evidently everyone moves more towards the castle for Wishes after the parade? It was still a bit crowded getting on the monorail/tram, but we were home by about 10. Decided to take it a bit easy today - DH & I may head to DD for some shopping later this morning, then we'll head to AK later in the day (to ride Everest one last time) and then to BB for one last evening. Tomorrow's Epcot, followed by a whole bunch of packing!:sad1:

marcie, i was wondering where you were yesterday. i really am enjoying your trip reports while you are down there. you are having a wonderful time!

hope you are holding up with the heat.

gemma, we will wait for your trip report. just let us know if you finished that potter book on the plane.........we had bets on it....jk
again, welcome back

and to all the other homies.....hey, have fun today!

LOL! No I didn't finish it on the plane (only got about 50 pages done on the plane!! Reuben was restless so we had to keep him entertained). But I did finish it on the holiday. I did like the book, JK tied it all up but I must say it's not my favourite. Just didn't keep me hooked like the others did. My favourite was the 6th.

:) thanx mac! woke up to a house covered in home-made banners, sorta like DH TP'd me.:rotfl: way better than hallmark!

marci - so nice u r sharing your report as you go. How :cool1: to share goodies while you wait for the parade! i'm not a big parade fan, imo once you've seen each - you're good to go till they change it around. Usually a good time to hop on the busier rides. Even better, we tend to depart before they end. I get claustraphobic sometimes, esp. when everyone @ WDW is stampeding out.

gemma - I need another translation ;) "brill"???

i'm with you, Epcot world showcase is a bit of a snooze (again after seeing it several times) reminds me of a glorified strip mall. Do enjoy the Innovations area though, think some of their best rides are there.

barb - hope bubba's house is a very fine house today.:thumbsup2

I’m counting the hours now. Joshua started Kindergarten today. New, bigger school (still Primary, though… just K, 1st, and 2nd grades), new teacher, new classmates… he was all excited and scared at the same time. He looked so young sitting there at the table when I left him. I’ve boo-hooed a moment or two, but I know he’ll be fine. Daniel, however, is thoroughly upset with me. Why on earth did we leave big brother in that strange place? He keeps walking into Joshua’s room saying, “Brother? Woo hoo, Brother? Where are you?”… then he’ll bring me his shoes and say, “Car. Brother.” Like I’m an idiot and he just can’t get me to understand the problem here.
