mac - remember that business on the wapasdi board, where posts were out of order???

i swear i've got gremlins again, clicking on pages/posts; winding up elsewhere...long lags in between posting & seeing it finally appear?

wonder if big brother is watching me...hee-hee...off to lay low;)

tricia - corona (and landsharks) have their moments:thumbsup2 . Every now and again i'll have a Michelob draft if i'm out.

I think my aversion to beer stems from my first encounters with it. The high school "we pooled all our money and all we could afford was Pabst Blue Ribbon" (or Old Milwaukee). Not only was it bad drinking it, but I've never been so sick or hungover in my life. :sad2:

I don't even like the smell of beer. I've had a sip of Corona with lime squeezed in it and that wasn't the worst thing ever, but I still wouldn't ever order one.

yep, DS wanted to change his name - his hero.:) he's a might upset about the whole Michael Vick incident, don't expect that jersey to make it out of the closed for awhile.

stores can't sell michael vick clothing now.
he'll end up in prison probably

Well the storm that Barb was talking about last night blew out my house phone and the recording studio phone. Verizon says they won't be out until Monday!! What a load of crap!!

My sister & mom have been season ticket holders for the Falcons for over 20 years. I attend games with them when I can. Speaking as someone who has been sitting in the stands and watching Vick, let me share something that doesn't appear to make it out on national tv. The Atlanta crowd has been booing him for the past 2 seasons. He has the 'tude. The "I am the most... the best... and you guys are lucky to be here watching me" attitude. He jogs off and on the field in a lazy, lumbering manner. If he thinks he's getting beat, he suddenly gets "hurt". Not that he hasn't had some legitimate injuries, but the ones where he limps a little... puh-leez. He's not going to be winning an oscar for those performances.

Anyway, speaking as a Falcons fan who has watched them in their worst seasons and still been able to cheer, I am looking forward to NOT seeing Vick on the field.

I'm off to shop for DS5. Kohl's is having a Super Saturday Sale, complete with Door Buster Savings if we check out before 1pm, so I guess my decision of when to shop was made for me. ;)

Think of me while I'm juggling 2 boys in a crowded store... :headache:

hey rv gal, have you survived the shopping today?

just got back from the doc about a bit ago. he ended up staying open longer than his noon closing today.

now i'm fit as a fiddle, whatever that means.

hey all......just droppin in for a quik hello!

no babysitting the great-nephew this weekend! I was wonderin' what I had gotten into!

Off to run some errands and go to Olive Garden for dinner. :woohoo:

DH & DS went to get their pictures taken for their passports today... :cool1: one less thing to do before trip next year!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

L8rs.......

Mike, verizon sux.....I think you should tell them you aren't able to pay your bill till (insert date here).... you ARE lucky to have cable tho :thumbsup2 Our phone is D & E Comm. and it's okay...don't ever have problems...our cable is Service Electric and it is the WORST cable co. ever!!!!! We constantly have problems w/ the internet...well, not me, but DH does! We only rent our modem and a good thing too....we kept losing connection, and everytime i'd call them, they'd check it and say it was fine. I called SO often, I knew how to run the check they walk you thru myself! So, turns out, there was a problem, on their end (imagine that!) 3 blocks up and across the highway on a main pole! Then again, not too long ago, DH games online and kept dropping/gettin kicked. They checked modem again, and speeds were fine. The guys came out, and they were fine. We told them, "of course the speeds are fine at 10am....come back at 11pm when everyone else is online"...so, we documented speed tests, showed them to the guys, and they were shocked! They couldn't believe how low his speeds were dropping! Well, again, a problem on their end...all fixed. So, right before we left for vacation, he was getting kicked from his servers he was gaming on. Couldn't figure out why his ping was so high. So, the problem still existed when we got back, and he finally got fed up with it and I called the cable company Friday.... they got back to me with a message saying "we found a problem with one of our cards, the problem should be fixed no later than Monday...if you still have a problem, please call us then" He says it's fixed so far...we'll see....i'm just waitin' for the next problem..... :surfweb: Oh, and all our lines are underground....phone, electric, cable...are yours? Makes sense to do it that way...when a tree falls, it won't cut out your power!

Tricia...nice to know about Vick....never knew about the "tude".... I hated when Phila. had Terrell Owens....just hated his vibe...good player, bad "tude".

Sorry didn't put this in last post, but just "found" it. :headache:

hey rv gal, have you survived the shopping today?

I survived. We've been home for about an hour. I figure in about a month, with some kind of therapy, I'll be back to normal. :headache:

I'm sure everyone in Kohl's for the short time that we were shopping there learned my children's names. The trip went something like this:

"Daniel, you can't run away. Either hold my hand or you're getting strapped back in the cart."
Followed by Daniel's screams of "No, no, NO!"
"Joshua, don't play in the clothes. Come out of there now."
Followed by Joshua's whines of "This is SO boring. Why can't I wait in the car?"
"Because, Number 1 that isn't safe and Number 2 I can't pick out clothes that fit you without your body."
Huge sigh from Joshua.
"Daniel, I said you couldn't get out of the cart. Stop climbing. How did you get Mommy's cell phone? Who are you calling? Give me that..."
Followed by Daniel's screams of "No, no, NO!"
"Joshua, I said to stay where I can see you. Get over here now. Do you like this shirt?"
"I guess so. Are we done yet?"

Repeat this scenerio over and over again for about 45 minutes and that was my shopping expedition. I need Valium.

I did, however, find some jeans that fit Joshua (he's tall and skinny, so finding his size isn't easy) AND he was thrilled to find a Lego Star Wars t-shirt. He's already wearing it. All in all, it was worth the trip.

I'm sure the tic over my left eye will stop eventually...

Tricia, what brand of jeans did you buy for Joshua? I have tall & skinny to shop for soon too :headache: (tall as in 57" & 60lbs)
