hey rv gal, have you survived the shopping today?
I survived. We've been home for about an hour. I figure in about a month, with some kind of therapy, I'll be back to normal.
I'm sure everyone in Kohl's for the short time that we were shopping there learned my children's names. The trip went something like this:
"Daniel, you can't run away. Either hold my hand or you're getting strapped back in the cart."
Followed by Daniel's screams of "No, no, NO!"
"Joshua, don't play in the clothes. Come out of there now."
Followed by Joshua's whines of "This is SO boring. Why can't I wait in the car?"
"Because, Number 1 that isn't safe and Number 2 I can't pick out clothes that fit you without your body."
Huge sigh from Joshua.
"Daniel, I said you couldn't get out of the cart. Stop climbing. How did you get Mommy's cell phone? Who are you calling? Give me that..."
Followed by Daniel's screams of "No, no, NO!"
"Joshua, I said to stay where I can see you. Get over here now. Do you like this shirt?"
"I guess so. Are we done yet?"
Repeat this scenerio over and over again for about 45 minutes and that was my shopping expedition. I need Valium.
I did, however, find some jeans that fit Joshua (he's tall and skinny, so finding his size isn't easy) AND he was thrilled to find a
Lego Star Wars t-shirt. He's already wearing it. All in all, it was worth the trip.
I'm sure the tic over my left eye will stop eventually...
