Happy Halloween everyone!

I know I'm late. I missed the party, didn't I?

The kids were able to Trick or Treat for about an hour. Joshua's bucket (shaped like Darth Vader's head) was full. Daniel's wasn't because he lost interest with the door-to-door thing after he got a few lollipops. Unwrapped one ("Oooooh... CANDY!") and he was content to hang with me and eat his sucker while Joshua continued on.

We had a few Trick or Treaters here, but we never get many. Our house is somewhat remote from any other houses and on a relatively busy highway, so most people blow past our house on the way into town where the subdivisions are.

About 30 minutes or so, we'll turn off the lights and call it a night. I hope I can get some pictures up of the boys and our house tomorrow... and add to my trip report.

Oh, and Lori, I used to suffer with migraines, but I haven't had one in over a year. You have my complete and total sympathy.

HAPPYHALLOWEEN.

It's the best holiday of the year, imho.

here, here:thumbsup2

we got slammed:banana: lost count, know i bought 10 bags of candy & it looks like only 2 left.

DS was big hit, psycho on the roof; glad he had the sense not to scare the youngins'; just waved with his cleaver:eek: which was dripping blood

make sure y'all post them pics, hope to get mine up tomorrow.

jodie - thanks for the hint on the cleaner bags, guess i'll go buy the garment bag while it's on sale. If it's too junky i'll just ship it back; they're good on returns (shoebuy). We have a tuxedo:) kitty, keep that baby safe today. Must post pics of the black kitten DS rescued then found a family.

marci - part of my reasoning for cabin selection as to a lower deck was to be near the laundry room, not too close though;) ashamed to admit it's DH who does the deed on vacation; sez he doesn't mind it while we lounge by the pool...think he's just glad for a break from us - ha.

mac - u r a busy gal this week, ever get the laundry done?

barb & elmer - glad the kiddies had a great time tonight

last year I had like 65 kids, and way too many older , kinda unruly kids....
this year, we only had like 50 and I made up 80 bags:scared1: :scared1:

now i gotta lug that crap to work to get rid of it as the the stuff i bought is pencils, pretzels. kissables, rolos and jelly belly's.....

and my fav is reese's and i am all out

i would bet any of you that tomorrow all the christmas candy is out everywhere

sorry- did not mean to frighten you all like that....but it is true.....

Ugh, Penny, I hate it when the older kids come too. :( They're rude, they're hardly dressed up, and they look bored as they hold their huge pillow cases open as I throw in their candy. Maybe they mumble a thanks. Maybe not.

I let the little kids pick the candy they want. The big kids take what I give them. ;)

Sorry you're all out of your favorite candy though.

Happy Halloween. Post your pics, so I can enjoy.

Well - DS12 decided he didn't want to go Trick or Treating tonight. I guess he thought he was too old this year. So one of his friends came over and they played basketball. Our weather was very mild, so I sat outside with the candy.

Gee, we had 6 children total. 6!! Two were in son's class at school and they took very little thought into their costumes. I guess if I spent $25 on a Jason/Freddy/Leatherface mask, son would have went T or T tonight.

Anyway - a little sad - if they're too old for T or T, they must be getting older.

Janet - too bad I am not closer to you - your house must be the highlight of the neigborhood.

-Jennifer-

Not only will the Christmas stuff be out tomorrow, but the Halloween stuff that cost $75 today will be on sale for $10. Yeah, I'll be looking for future decoration bargins.

I don't usually share this kind of stuff, but I got an email tonight and it had me laughing... so, I'll toss it out there and hope somebody else gets a chuckle...

Q: How many women with PMS does it take to change a light bulb?

Woman's Answer: One!

ONLY ONE!!!!

And do you know WHY?

Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb!

They don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT!!

They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out.

And, once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the #&%!* light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CABINET for the past 17 YEARS!

But if they did, by some miracle of God, actually find them, 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!!

AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE FREAKING LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!!!

BECAUSE NO ONE EVER PICKS UP OR CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!!!

IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE A FOOT DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE!!

IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS PLACE!

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WHO CHANGES THE TOILET PAPER ROLL !!

I'm sorry. What was the question?

Thanks Barb! Why didn't it show up?

Guess it can't be "linked" from that particular site......you have to right click on properties and save pic as.... then, i put it in my photobucket and linked it from photobucket :thumbsup2

Hey Homies!

We're home from Trick or Treating!!

DS10 wore a scary mask for the first time this year. I've never been much on stuff like that, but I let him do it this year. He said that he's not going to dress scary again because he felt bad when he saw little kids and old people because he didn't want to scare them.....he's such a sweet kid! DS13 decided to go with some of his friends. He dressed up as a zombie skateboarder. I painted his face grey (used black and white face paint). He just got out of the tub from scrubbing and he said he's never going to ask me to put it so close to his eyes. I was using baby oil to try to get it off and he kept whining that I was getting it in his eyes and I was pinching him......please.......he came out from the bathroom a few minutes ago and said he got alcohol on a Qtip and ran it under his eyes :scared1: and he's never doing that again. I didn't get any pictures tonight.....

Barb and Lori thanks for the congratulations on DS10's perfect season!
Alright!! Way to go! :woohoo: Also glad to hear no "mama drama" :rotfl: ..... Hopefully they'll get a plaque or trophy or some kind of recognition for their awesome season..... Isn't he glad he stuck with it?? I remember he was ready to quit not too long ago

Barb, it was actually DS13 (Zack the difficult one...) that was ready to quit at the beginning of the season. He is a very competitive child and doesn't want anyone to be better than him. He didn't play peewee football and he thought he could go in and be a star just from playing with the boys at schood during recess because noone could catch him. He's in great physical condition and thought he would make first string and didn't.... He wasn't as experienced as most of the boys on the team, so it makes sense that they would pick the boys who had played before. We told him to hang in there and not to get discouraged and just to show them what he can do. His team didn't do so well, but he is saying that he just might play next year and run track to work on getting a letterman jacket, he's the one that can run like the wind! Zack got to go to 4 out of 8 of his Jr. High games (he was either sick or dehydrated part of the time) and only got to play in two of them....The one with the perfect season was DS10 (Jacob, the sweet, easy to get along with one with a GREAT attitude and not nearly as fast as Zack). He played on a community league for 5th and 6th graders. Jacob wants to play football all through school and says he is going to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks! Woooo Pig Sooie! (for those of you who don't know, I was calling the Hogs).

Tricia, that's a funny joke! :rotfl2: Barb didn't like my cat/wal-mart/blonde joke. :sad2:

Great halloween pics, cute kids (best super mario costume EVER!) and what a sweet weiner dog! Mine would've eaten the costume. Think i've had that floor at one time or another in one of my homes lol. Professionals (and i use the term loosely) put down an armstrong tile floor (the square time) a few years ago as a result of a broken pipe in the upstairs BR...the tiles are coming up already. Think we may tackle a ceramic one ourself after Xmas? how hard can it be:rolleyes1

elmer - funnee, if you think those hormones are raging now-wait 'til the big change comes:sad2: i don't wish a total hysterectomy on anyone.

Did I hear Xmas??? Sandy Claus is coming

my peeps:banana: (wish they'd add it to WDWs halloween festivities:rolleyes1 )

Wonderful photo of your kids! All four of them! Looks like it was a warm night, so much more fun when it's not raining.

My mom still has that floor but in the lovely brick red color...

Mornin' all!

I've got some pumpkins to toss, Halloween decorations to box up, and Thanksgiving decorations to find.

Oh, and Joshua's birtday is in 9 days. :scared1:

DH and I have done a kitchen and two bathrooms. :cool1: It's not hard at all (except on the knees), make sure you use the plastic spacer thingys and rent a tile saw. You can do it! :thumbsup2
