Janet, I agree fully on the Crocs. Other than for running and biking, it's pretty much all I live in. Now that I'm back at work, I have to wear some normal shoes part of the time, but luckily I'm not usually on my feet much and can slip my feet out of them without people noticing. I do like the new line of crocs that look more like normal shoes - can't wait for a couple styles listed on the website to come out!

Tracie - I also wanted to wish good luck to your B & SIL. We didn't deal with probs conceiving, but went through several miscarriages before doing some "research", some drugs, and finally the boys. Either way I think it's really rough when all you want is a baby and everyone else in the world has one! (or so it seems).

Oh, and I wanted to add in on the ebay stuff. We found the same thing. Just amazing what people would bid on (and how much!). When my kids outgrew Thomas the Tank Engine, we sold off a bunch of their stuff. One was an old sheet set (twin) that had gone through 3 boys that we'd gotten as a gift from their grandparents. Sold it (very used) for $102.50! We've also sold skis that we got at a church rummage sale for $2 for over $100. We tend to be VERY downplayed in our descriptions ("these well-worn sheets have gone through three active boys") and are amazed that anyone would still bid on the stuff, let alone $100! Haven't tried selling my used Crocs though - by the time I'd get rid of them don't think they'd be any use to anyone else!

Got a message from mac today; it was pouring so she took the opp to call me. Didn't get a chance to call her back just yet; we've been busy around here. I heard something about there being a slight problem with her reservation and her scoring breakfast coupons at The Kitchen though. I'm sure I'll get the scoop later. She is settled in and fine now though and that's all that matters.

Now Mike has managed to aggravate an old football injury he has in his back. He can barely bend over. Won't let me take him anywhere for help or do anything for him. I would like to add that this is due in part to his insistence to pack his entire closet and bathroom into one suitcase and then lift it. I at least got him to take 2 suitcases. The man has packed more clothes than me.

I will try to log on in the morning, but if I don't, keep my seat warm on the thread!

Well had my Dentist Appt. today and the verdict is.....




My dentist who did the first root canal did a poor job and it is infected.....so..

They are going to have to do another one!!!!!

So a week from tomorrow I'm gonna have my teeth drilled and shaved..yuck!

They put me on a new antibiotic called Z-Pak, I think and I only have to take it once a day.

Oh and the kicker....It's gonna set me back at least $1300!!!! What a week this has turned out to be!


So anyway, thanks for the well wishes everyone!

I gotta try and add some more stuff to my mini-trippie.

Ally had cheer camp this week and is performing at the HS football game tonight. Can someone tell me why they would do this for our biggest football game of the year? It would have already been standing room only, now there will be all the parents of the cheer camp girls there that wouldn't have attended the game. Seems to me they should do it during a game that doesn't get packed.

Oh yeah, and Michael informed me that he will be 16 two weeks from today (like I didn't already know!). Oh the joys of teenage drivers are starting all over again.

hi lori - due to the active/early storm season; all the lines had to scramble. Carnival still hasn't sent out the offical change letter to the people on the Glory out of Port of Canaveral; which means if they are past their final payment date they cannot cancel until they receive it. Apparently, the other lines are pulled much of the same bs

unoffically/ie TAs got the info= not changed on web site though. They now are shuttled to Key West (some sailings twice-eek) & Progresso (which i'd luv) in lieu of Costa Maya. I'm that type A planner and pick a cruise for the port offering/excursions.

Weird, they only shuffled the port days around; perhaps to save criss-crossing/diesel? Odd thing is on cruise board I surf, everyone else posts that their's hasn't changed. Guess i'll just not book any excursions for a week or 2 to see if things remain the same.

Total crap w/ the shuffling and 'notifiying' of port changes..... get 'em Janet Some people have saved and/or waited a long time for their trips....to d*** them around is just wrong!

Been busy around here, no time to "ketchup".....between DS10 playing football and DS13 trying to avoid doing anything that he's supposed to be doing it's been difficult to find time for much of anything else!
Lori, I feel for ya sister! You've got one about to turn 16 and start driving ! I think my DS10 will be ready for that before my DS13! Sometimes I think they were born in the wrong order.

Barb , you have an excellent point about the cell phones...I thought my mom was CRAZY for being up when I got home whenever I was a teenager (in the days before the cell phone), but looking back, she was much less looney than I thought! I'm gonna be the CRAZY mom in just a few short years.

Janet, I eBay too and I think it's hilarious when people try to call something current vintage and hard to find! You know what else is funny? Those people who sell shoes and model them... especially the sandals with the toe marks in the footbeds ! You know why they do that don't you? Some of them make darn good money at it too!

Okay, so "snogged" means "kissed". I still haven't read Harry Potter, so forgive me for not knowing that one. I think the only euphamism for kissing we ever used was "suck face".


It seems Joshua has a cold and runs a slight fever from time to time. My mom has a bad cold. Carol & Deb are on their way home from Panama City this morning. So, now we have to figure out how to shuffle people to get the sick AWAY from her... and hope that there is a way to have everyone well before she starts chemo on Tuesday... or, at least, enough people well that we can divide between the sick and her. She is planning on getting her hair buzzed today or tomorrow, and then wanted to let the kids see her before she gets the chemo and it all falls out... sorta prepare them for the changes... but I don't know that we'll be able to risk it. Can't have her exposed to ANY germs at this point. Her immune system is going to take enough of a beating. Great timing, huh?

Jodie and Mike- have a great holiday, Im so jealous (i never know how to spell that word)!!!

Well guys, I am so badly hungover!!! It's now 2pm and I still havn't got make up on and got dressed. Apparently last night whenever I smashed the glass- I didn't clear it up, I just put a towel over it!!! NOT SMART GEMA!!

Still feeling like crap for snogging (kissing with tongues- lol you funny americans, i love ya) the guy with the gf. He kept texting me last night telling me to come back out (mmmm 1. did he see the state of me and 2. no, 'YOU HAVE A GF!! IDIOT BOY!') Even worse is that my friend (Last nights birthday boy) is apparently really good friends with her and I would hate to know that one of my friends had cheated on the other, it would make me feel so awful!!

Also, starting to miss home a little now aswell, well actually, not home just the kids (from the holiday). Mum told me apparently Reuben (the 2 yr old) was walking around his house with a photo of me and him from Florida and wouldn't let it go and just kept pointing at me and saying 'My Mama!'...made me cry when she told me. When I phone him he keeps asking where I am and i have to keep saying 'Mama's away for a wee while but it's your job to look after Penny', Penny's my dog.

But it's ok because Im still loving it in Liverpool and Ill be home in a few weeks for Reading Week.
