Thank you, he did have a lovely birthday weekend!
I think you and Ruth could sit together for hours doing your crafts, it is very clever to be able to do such things, quilting and stitching....I missed those gifts!!! Look forward to seeing Alaska.
Yes, always an overnight for us the night before a flight, we usually have to check in early with it being international, so the worry of something happening on the roads would stress us too much, so an overnight is perfect for us. And it`s a nice way to start the trip too.
We have a real feel of -7 this morning and it is blooming cold in any temp!!!!
Slept late as we had no rush to get up today, we could hear the strong winds make the sea swell and roar, so we stayed snuggled up for the longest time, then a nice bacon on toast breakfast and opened some tea I got for Christmas, nice but wouldn`t buy it for ourselves, finished the pot off though.
Popped out to get some fresh produce, dropped into the new farm we get the fresh eggs from and their honesty box had frozen shut!!! So we walked over to the farm itself to pay, we must have looked frozen as she asked if we wanted a cuppa after admonishing us for wasting time paying her, she said we could have paid next time, nope wouldn`t have felt comfortable taking the eggs and not paying.
Got our veg in the farmstore that`s recently opened up beside a garden centre, those guys in the garden centre looked frozen to the core, glad it`s not me!! But, the veg was nice and very good quality.
Lunch is chicken noodle soup I made yesterday, bought a cheese and onion bread to go with it and tonight a turkey dinner, last of the stuff we froze, we do like to eat it within the month, I think Kyle is coming over for dinner so he`ll enjoy that too, he`ll be enjoying his extra day off work for his birthday.
Tom is brewing some tea for us right now, that`ll keep us till lunchtime, not sure if a friend is popping in for some lunch, if she appears we have plenty for her.
But, another Monday upon us........have a good one.....
