If you do a Wishes pontoon cruise, can you hear the story/music, or can you only see the fireworks? Trying to decide whether to see Wishes from California Grill where the sound is piped in, or from a cruise. I doubt we'll make it to the MK at all, but we want to see Wishes. For those who have done the CG viewing: could you still hear the story properly?

We're going in October while the MNSSHP is on - is the regular Wishes on when the party isn't? Which one is better - the halloween version or the original? If we want to see the Halloween one, it will have to be on Oct 14 - otherwise we'd see the regular one on the 13th, 15th or 16th (very short trip!).

I seem to remember reading that the special events fireworks shows were not piped in to the CG. I also heard that maybe one of the pontoon boats had music on board. If it's not too windy, they might tie the boats up during the show and you might hear the dialog that way. Hope I've helped you someshat.

Yes bajanswife, I believe Badger Brent is correct. When we were there last October we watches Wishes from 'Ohanas (my favorite place). The music and naration was piped in. It was not piped in on the nights of the MNSSHP. I believe it would be the same for CG. The music and naration are an important part of this wonderful show. We also saw the fireworks at one of MNSSHP and I remember some of the coloring being different and someone besides Tink flyes out of the castle. I have also heard that some boats have music and some do not (not sure which ones).

I wonder how you get on a boat that has the music?! Maybe we should stick to CG, since I want to eat there anyway!

a few weeks ago. I heard the story better from CG than i did when i was on the street watching it, and had a great meal too and didn't have to deal with the crowds or a stiff neck from looking up. Have fun.

Just wanted to give a second confirmation.

You sure can hear the narration- very clearly at California Grille and if you tell them you want to view the fireworks when you book the PS, they were very helpful with us- it was the first night of our honeymoon and it was fabulous, this year we are trying a cruise.
