1. I've read that getting to your car in the parking lot can be a major walk. Is this true? I don't mind the walk, but I would mind having to haul stuff back and forth.

2. Does everyone use the bell hops to carry your luggage? If so how much do you tip?

3. Has anyone ever had anything electronic (I saw someone had lost some Gameboy games) taken from their rooms?

4. Are there ice machines on every floor? Is the ice free? My husband and I were "tower level" at the hilton last weekend. The only ice machine in the place that worked was the tower level. We had to pay extra for that key access!

Okay, let's see if I can help with these:

1. I've read that getting to your car in the parking lot can be a major walk. Is this true? I don't mind the walk, but I would mind having to haul stuff back and forth. it depends on what you consider a major walk... it could be a few minutes if you get one of the outer spots but overall it's not too bad. You could also drop your stuff off at the front, go park your car and pick up the stuff on the way in. There is also valet parking available... I believe around $6 per day.

2. Does everyone use the bell hops to carry your luggage? If so how much do you tip? I always have used the bell hops and normally tip $5 - $10, depending on how many bags we had

3. Has anyone ever had anything electronic (I saw someone had lost some Gameboy games) taken from their rooms? never had any problems with theft... there is a safe available in the room

4. Are there ice machines on every floor? Is the ice free? My husband and I were "tower level" at the hilton last weekend. The only ice machine in the place that worked was the tower level. We had to pay extra for that key accessYes the ice is free and I am assuming that there is a machine on every floor... we were on the 4th floor and there was one there

Hope this helps!!

P.S. Love your username... that's my dog's nickname!!! Please don't take offense to that :o

1. At some resorts, yes, it's more than a major walk, it's like going to pluto and back.

2. I do, it's worth a few $$ to start the trip relaxed. I tip $1 per bag, always rounded up to the nearest $5. I tip to both the person who unloads the car and the person who delivers the bags, it's usually not the same person.

3. Nope. We've left out Gameboys, cameras, laptops, etc. We do lock up cash, jewelry, and some medications.

4. Yes. And the ice is free.

Have fun!

Anne
