Some 1 and 2 Day Pass Savings Options

Yikes!
I just bought 4 adult 2 day/2 park passes yesterday & we aren't going until the first week of January. Guess I oughta learn to read the fine print :guilty: So much for my great deal (It was only $268.40!) Anyone who might be interested in buying these tickets can contact me. I should be getting them in the next week or so (regular mail option). When I have them I can send you photos of the front & back of the tix.

cinders28, I will be using mine in Sept. I'll ask them about expiry date and post their answer. As long as they're not like Disney CMs who are very consistent in their inconsistencies... :)...

I am guessing that if you call them and explain what happened they would re-issue you tickets for next year or refund your money. They have been good to me on screw ups like this before.

Aztec?
Do you mean "they" Ticketmaster or "they" Universal?
I plan to call ticketmaster, but with a no refunds for any reason policy, I doubt it will do any good. I am hoping that Universal will apply them to a 2007 rate for the same tickets. But want to have tickets in hand before I call to explain.
I went back & looked at the order process. The expiry date does not show on the final payment screen (only on the very first order screen) so when I scanned for any "fine print" I did not see the dec 30 2006 expiration. oops!

Thanks for the offer. I would love it if you remeber to ask & let me know.
When in Sept are you going?

We'll be going on Sept 6th.
I'll try to post when we return.

I just ordered my tickets using the password and saved almost $180!! :cool1:
Thank you SOOOO much for that link. After plunking down thousands on this upcoming trip to DW for 4 adults next week, I was pretty tapped out. This helped alot! I can't understand why others over in the other Universal ticket thread are all excited about finding tickets for $78 when this deal is right here! I chose the print your own ticket option since my trip is less than a week away and I already have them! :yay:

Cseca, thanks for your offer to let us know what you're told about the expiry date when you go next month. I'm in the same boat as Cinders - jumped at the chance to buy the discounted tickets for our March 2007 trip - we bought 4 of the 2 day/2 park passes also. Assuming that there is no flexbility on the end of 2006 expiry date, I would invite anyone who might be interested in buying these tickets to contact me as well. I should be receiving them within the next week. When I have them I can send you photos of the front & back of the tix.

Thanks so much,
MouseGirl

Thanks to all those who responded with help. I called ticketmaster yesterday & they offered to refund the tickets (They hadn't sent them yet) I was very surprised.

To Mousegirl: I hope you can either use the tickets or somebody will buy them from you (It really was a great deal, just needed dates into 2007). Good luck.

Thanks so much Cinders. Let me just say how much I love these boards. Everyone is so helpful and always looking out for each other!

I called Ticketmaster yesterday and explained the situation. The operator I spoke to was really sympathetic and said it was unclear to him how restrictive the tickets would be. He suggested calling Universal directly to ask about the tickets.

The person I then spoke to at Universal said that we would be fine with the tickets. She checked with her manager, and told me that these were the regular 2 day/2 park non-expiry tickets, just different in that they were being offered at the corporate discounted rate, and that they didn't have an expiry date. As she explained it, the price offered was locked in for 2006 and not beyond. I asked her several times to confirm this and she was very reassuring. Hope I'm getting good information from her though - the tickets are already enroute to us via mail.

Cesca, if you wouldn't mind checking when you're down in September, as per your offer in an earlier post, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks again,
MouseGirl

Does anyone know how long this price will be good for? I have called Ticketmaster, they insist that they don't sell theme park tickets. I gave them the link which they said doesn't work. I spoke to two different people. Nobody had a clue. :confused3

I would hate to buy them and not be able to use them.

the pricing will be in effect until UO decides to change it, I can't give you a better answer. this offer has been promoted for over six months now. as far as Ticketmaster not selling theme park tickets, that's obviously not true.

I probably shouldn't have posted the link.

it seems to have generated a couple of difficulties and questions here I can't answer, nothing more. it's still a viable link.

I'm still going to get mine through Universal's site, where I'll get 5 days for $99 and my son's admission will be free.

Gotcha. I really appreciate that you posted it, though :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Amity 3,
Please don't think that...
I've saved some $ because of your post.
Thanks a bunches!
:)
I'll come back with some information on expiry date and such.
Thanks again!

Amity3 -I also appreciate that you posted the link. It was my own fault for not catching the expiry date. It's still a great deal for those traveling in 2006 & it even sounds like Universal may still accept them in 2007 anyway(Yeah! fingers crossed for Mousegirl). I am hoping that when (if) Universal offers the corporate pricing for the same tickets for 2007 they'll still be a good deal.
Thanks again!

Let me join everyone else in thanking you for posting on this, Amity 3. It was really kind of you to share this information and try to help others on the boards.

Best regards,
MouseGirl

Thanks so much! :-D
Like everyone else I'm already spending a lot on my trip down, and this is a great savings for me and the wife.
