Soarin?

OK. . .DS and I rode this for the first time over the weekend!!! It was GREAT!!! Does anyone know if this is a permanent fixture at WDW? We will not be able to go again until the fall and I really want DH to get to ride it!!! So does DS!!!

No need to woory this is permanent. They wre working on a new film that is suppose to be all over the world which will fit in to the Epcot theme much better. It is a great ride isn't it? Can't wait until our two nieces see it next month.

Where exactly is it in Epcot?

Is it in the WS or in the main Epcot part.

how is this ride for some one that get motion sickness. I have heard conflicting reports

I definitely am a motion sickness person and I love the ride. No problems on multiple rides. Now, as for Mission Space...............hehehe..........barfed all over France after I walked over there. Couldn't have been a more appropriate country!!!

I also heard they are working on a new movie, hence the name Soarin' and not Soarin over California like the Disneyland version.

This is one of the few rides I saw with virtually no ride warnings. I think the only ones I saw were about heights and to supervise children. That gives you an idea of the universal appeal of the ride. (I was checking because I was pregnant and wanted to prove to my DH that there wasn't a warning for this ride).

DW gets motion sick and she loved it. There is one particular scene that makes both DW and I just a tiny bit queasy for a second. It's the night scene over the city. I think the camera was a little shaky.

But the nice thing about Soarin is that the motion is so slow and gentle that if you start feeling sick at all, closing your eyes should stop it.

Oh, and it's a multi-million dollar attraction that is immensely popular. I think the chance of it going away is pretty much zero.

Soarin' and Test Track were our favorite new rides since our last visit. Soarin' seemed to be extremely popular. While other big rides had no wait (Test Track, Mission Space), Soarin' had a 50 minute wait. We rode early in our trip and had no problems with lines or fast passes late in the day. The day before we left (Dec 18), we tried to ride it again. The wait was 120 minutes and they were out of Fast Passes (It was before noon).

As for motion sickness, my wife and I both have problems with it, her more so. Back to the Future at US was the worst ride of all time for us. At Disney, I liked Mission Space but it made me a bit upset. She nearly had an all out panic attack and felt horrible afterwords. BUT, we both loved Soarin'.

The Soarin' ride was fun, other than the dangling feet above me which kinda ruined the experience. If they could change that, it would easily be the best ride ever.

The first time I ever rode Soarin I was seated next to a 3 year old. I was nervous about what was going to happen. He was fine and so was I. I think your young kids would love it. They may be a little scared when it gets dark in the room so I would prepare them for it.

No problem for a 4 year old assuming they meet the height requirements. There is nothing at all scary about this. Very gentle attraction but one of the better!!!
