Sounds good to me. You'll have to fill me in on the Big Island as it might take me quite a few years before we get there. Our package we bought is for a week at Maui and then we'll have to decide if we want to add time at Aulani, the Big Island or both. Such hard choices to make.

Being from the deep deep South, isn't somewhere in the South a comparable option? Bali or Fiji?

We've been to Bali but not Fiji. Happy to go to either option and I'm sure we'll get round to Fiji at some stage. Fiji is about 5 hours away. Bali is 7 hours.

I'm planning to build a trip around Hawaii. It's not much longer flight and what you get is AMAZING.

It's cat feeding time and that umbilical cord was working.


Moses was outside, looking a little sorry for himself and he doesn't want us to touch him too much. But he let us touch him and I think there might be some puncture marks but aside from those, there are no obvious scratches. I think he's probably sore from the fight and we'll see how he is tomorrow.

DH knows he did wrong. No point flogging the dead horse...and wasting energy. He's checked Moses more thoroughly than me. Seems like Moses has an injured back paw.

We did get a council visit about the cat fights about a year ago. DH has been really good since that time about keeping Moses inside. But the last 4 weeks, with the hot nights and all, he's just been more lax.

I don't think DH will be letting Moses out early this year again.

The other cat was from a litter that an associate of ours had. She stayed with her 'mother' until she was weaned and then we got her. We went to see the litter when they were about 3 weeks old and picked her out. She is a feisty cat! But she stays very close to home and doesn't want to go outside till after 5 am during summer. She appreciates the comforts of home that one.

And no...the feisty cat would have preferred to be an only child. She used to hiss at DS a lot!

I totally understand if you decide to stay in. I've loved the photos so far.
I did see a nice (very small) two person lion dance in the shopping centre next to my work train station which was nice. But nothing more. Just too hot and tired to go to the city on the weekend or poorly timed day time ones with work hours

The Dragon is coming out at 12.30 pm. So, DH and I....well....I think we will go in early, catch the early celebrations and stay for the Dragon procession. After that, it will probably be hot.

So, I'm aiming to be in town before 10 am.

We're watching Back to the Future. I'll catch the 10.30 screening; but I suspect I've seen it before. I used to watch a lot of travel shows.
