So, what shareholders have voted?

If you are a shareholder, have you voted your proxy yet and if so, what have you voted?

I withheld my votes for the four directors that Roy and Stan called for, including the great Ei$ner.

I voted, with the board, but not the 4 people Roy said no for.

:bounce:

Just got my proxy card today in Germany, and voted online per Roy Disney's recommendation

I voted per Roy's instructions and I have been spreading the word to every shareholder I know!

I did not vote with Roy. And I did follow the boards suggestions.

That just sounds so strange to me - and other posts similar to it. It's as if you need omeone to tell you how to vote or what your opinion is.

Roy is trying to make a statement that he has some support in his quest. I agree with much of what he is saying, and am supportive of his position.

IOW, I support Roy in his quest to oust Ei$ner...

When you say similar to it, I assume you also mean those that say they voted as the Board recommends?

If so, I agree its sounds a bit strange, but that's taking things a bit too literally...

I voted, and, coincidentally, voted to withold for the same board members as Roy.

Better?

;)

WOW!!! yet another 'coincident'.....I did too! ;)

Soooo......WD and Chuck....are you two gonna get together for a party if the status quo is maintained?

"I voted per Roy's instructions and I......"

".....and voted online per Roy Disney's recommendation"

".....I voted per Roy's instructions."

I don't care how people voted..... don't even know what Roy's "instructions" were. Just sounds very strange.

I voted against Ei$ner, as I have for the past 5 years. I also voted against Bryson, Estrin and Mitchell.

Edited to add additional info -

Even though I am a small shareholder, I read the whole proxy statement, the bios of the board members, etc. and did additional research. After educating myself as fully as possible, I chose to vote as Roy had suggested because I agreed with his recommendations.

I was also wondering if the people who "voted per Roy's instructions" (and other similarly worded posts) read the whole proxy statement and the bios of the board members and such, or if they voted with Roy simply because he's Roy. In our office, those who have voted against the board's recommendations are about equally split between those who read the material and voted that way because it agreed with their personal position and those who didn't read anything, just voted that way because Roy did. One person said, "I've never read the proxy statement before, and once I did, I realized that most of what I believed was the same as what Roy and Stanley are pushing." Another said, "I don't have to read it ... Roy's last name is 'Disney' and that's enough for me."

A small (35 people asked) sample, to be sure, but interesting nonetheless. FYI ... out of the 35 people I asked about voting, 11 of them voted against Roy's recommendations and for the board recommendations. So in my little fishbowl of a voting population, Roy and Stan are way ahead of their hoped-for 20% ...

I'm sure in many cases its not because he's Roy, but more because of what he wants to bring to the company. But its probably true that many did not read the bios before voting against.

However, I have NO doubt that those who voted "for" are no more likely to have read the bios.

Then there's those that don't even vote or read, which of course goes in the "for" category.

Again, even those on this thread who did not vote "with Roy" are not defending the board members based on anything other than the "Board's recommendations".

Think about that one... following the board's recommedation that you vote for the board...

I think its fair to question those voting with Roy, but not fair at all to ONLY question those voting with Roy.
