has made you go WOW!!! I would have to say the first time I walked in to the WL I was inspired... It was Christmas time and it was so over whelming... I just remember saying WOW!

We have yet to stay there but we will... :)

The Grand Floridian when we were on our honeymoon. I was meserized. But when we were there in December, I wasn't as awed. But I'd still say the GF had the greatest impact on me.

I don't know if another Disney resort in Florida could elicit such a response, but I have a feeling that if I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in Paris I might be awed. I've seen pictures and it looks incredible!!!!! Someday...............

The Poly!

I had stayed there as a kid and when we decided on WDW for our honeymoon, I demanded;) we stay at the Poly. I just love it there. We also were able to spend one night there in September while we were booked somewhere else for our upcoming July trip. As soon as I walked out to that beach area and saw the view I just said "We HAVE to stay here in July". I just get wowed, everytime Im there. Its so beautiful.

I know this is going to seem very S/D 'cheerleaderish' of me, but the Swan/Dolphin really astounded me. I went in not knowing a whole lot about them, just went on what I had read here on the DIS, which was a lot of comments like "it's not a Disney resort" and "lacks Disney theming, etc." but I found the total opposite!

With icons larger than life, the lush and tropical Grotto Pool area and great views from their rooms, I think it's one of the best kept secrets in WDW!

AND--the Grand Floridian was every bit as elegant as I thought it would be, so it didn't surprise me all that much, as I was expecting such. The GF is one of my 'dream' resorts! If we ever hit the lottery, I'm staying in concierge!!

The AKL really made we say WOW when were there! Everything about the resort was just so spectacular!

I also have to say the view from our Poly room really made me say WOW! We had a 3rd floor balcony room in the Hawaii building with a beautiful view of the castle. No other view in all of WDW can compare to that, IMHO!

The Yacht Club is so impressive! They have a great theme pool that has a water slide, lazy river and a sand filled bottom! The rooms are large and decorated amazingly. The views are breathtaking. you can walk to Epcot, MGM, Boardwalk or you can take the boats to MGM and Epcot. their restaurants are the best and then of course you are so close to the Beach Club and the Boardlwalk and there is tons of food there. If you go to a posting by Joecool you will be inspired! Good lick on your choice!:)

Here's a few comments:

1. Elegance: Grand Floridian
2. Location: Dophin or any Epcot resort
3. Value: All Star Movies...the kids will love it
4. Landscaping: we still like Port Orleans: Riverside
5. Least amount of walking: Port Orleans:French Quarter
6. Spread out, lots of water: Caribbean Beach

Have a GREAT trip.

Definitely the Wilderness Lodge. I guess I'm not the elegant type.

The year it opened my husband and I went there for lunch without the kids. I thought it was so impressive.

The day we were leaving, I told the kids I had to show them something before we left and drove them to WL and took them into the lobby. I stood there saying ,"Isn't this great. Don't you just love it". They looked at me like I was crazy.

I still love sitting in that lobby.

The view from the Contemporary Tower is breathtaking, especially at night.

Several, actually. Of course the Grand Floridian... it is SO gorgeous!!!

When we ate at the Artist's Point character breakfast back in 1998, we were very impressed with WL. So, when we went in 2000, we stayed there, unfortunately, the rooms just didn't wow me like the lobby and pool did.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is quite impressive. I just don't know if I would like the rooms... they seem dark, and small, like those at WL.

Beach Club always is a favorite... love the beachy, bright decor...very beautiful.

The grounds of PO-R just can't be beat... quite gorgeous!

There is something impressive about all of the Disney Resorts...even the large icons at the AS are impressive.

For sheer elegance and effect, the GF, hands down. The first time I walked into the lobby, it was mega-WOW!

For theme and detail, WL. Just drive through the arch, go through the gate, park and walk in the lobby. That made me say WOW and I wanna stay here.

For being what I think is pure-Disney, the Contemporary. Others say the All-Stars or Sports or Movies, but to me the Comtemporary just says "Disney" all over and through it.

Actually, being able to stay at ANY Disney resort makes me say "WOW!" But then I'm just a 47-yr. old kid anyway! :D

The architecture at AKl - especially at night standing by the firepit and looking towards the lobby through the translucent glass of the building. In one word: Spectacular!
