So tired smelling pot everywhere!!!

It's not so much a matter of the laws, it's just a matter of people thinking that one is more okay and giving it a pass. Very few of these laws or rules are enforced strongly. These days especially nobody wants to call anybody on it, which only makes it worse.
A lot of jobs can be subject to random drug testing. Does it not show up in your urine?

It's an entirely different smell and it's possible to tolerate one and hate the other (in either direction). My next-door-neighbour moved in and immediately started complaining about cigarette smoking in our back yard but yet smokes pot in her own yard at least once ever day. :confused3
This is true, I know people who tolerate pot smoke but not cigarette smoke. No one should be smoking either one indoors, that’s gross.

I detest the smell of both cigarettes and pot. But the smell of weed is stronger to me and more offensive.

Pot smokers feel liberated to smoke it seems...and are smoking in public more than they would if it wasn't legal. When I walk around my town in the evenings, there will be people smoking weed outside of restaurants and bars....where that never happened before. I just find that pot is a much stronger smell. You can usually avoid most of the cigarette smell by walking on the other side of the street, with weed is unescapable. I haven't been to a large outdoor concert venue in years, but I wouldn't enjoy a show if there was a continuous smell of weed in the air.
That’s funny about concerts, haven’t been in years but weed was always a part of concert culture.

So where are people smoking their legal weed that is not allowed? Besides areas where it’s ok to smoke cigarettes? I guess I’m not seeing it.

I'm sure it does. I don't think a lot of people care. A lot of jobs only test when they hire someone, and never again.
My husband and I have jobs that are subject to random drug tests. Of course, they won't test without just cause. I always thought weed stayed in your system for a while. Now that it's legal I've wondered how companies would approach that.

Well, in a lot of places. I know I smell it in the areas of town where people hang out - the areas with good bars and restaurants. The OP's example seems ot be a concert and I would wager that smoking cigarettes is not allowed in the venue, and yet weed has been tolerated for many, many, years at concerts - it's considered part of the experience by many. It's not a part that I want though, but it's part of why I don't go to concerts.

One of the AMC theaters in my area smells like weed 24/7. The employees absolutely don't care that people smoke in there.

Last year, one of the high school kids was smoking weed in a bathroom connected to the Junior High. The entire JH smelled like weed for half the day. THAT finally convinced them to put vape sensors in the bathrooms.

Yeah, a lot of folks vape it these days - it's easier to sneak.

We've had weed pens come to school as well. With the increase in legalization, we're seeing adolescents get easier access to it, unfortunately.
I have young adult kids, who’ve had very easy access to pot since they were kids. It was super easy to get before legalization. And much cheaper. I’d much rather teens get it from a vetted source, so much on the street is laced with fentanyl and pcp, it’s dangerous. Vapes too.

At our Super Bowl parade early this year. People packed in like sardines as far as the eye could see. But people were pulling it out and lighting up.

It does. And lots of people are making the mistake of assuming having it legalized doesn't mean companies have their own policies and can still let you go for it.
I guess my question was how long does it show up? I can drink the night before work and test negative for alcohol by morning.

I'm far from an expert, but I think one of the issues with issuing DUI's for pot is that it does stay in the system for a long time. I don't think we as a society should have legalized it until they had a test they could use to test for driving under the influence.
