It's really just a matter of time.Seen some reports now that between this and vaping(which is worse) they are tarting to realize they both do lung damage.

that's an excellent question - can't speak for others, of course, but the person I'm thinking of who has very bad reactions to second hand cigarette smoke certainly doesn't like the smell of pot either, but interestingly, doesn't have the same severe reaction. Is the physical reaction to marijuana smoke different?
It does smell like skunk! I go to my sisters house every few weeks and for the longest time I thought there was a skunk living in the woods next to the house. Nope, turns out their neighbor enjoys a “smoke” on his back porch on a pretty regular basis! It is legal. Duh on me!![]()
Hmmmph. Your Fireball shots say otherwise.
Ha ha ha ha! Love ya!
That’s like asking why people drink alcohol.
A lot of jobs can be subject to random drug testing. Does it not show up in your urine?
A question here from an oldie here....What is the value, or reason, to 'get high'?
It can stay in your system for about 30 days if you’re a regular user.
For me, I use it to help me sleep. Also, it can also just be a nice way to just relax a little. Also, sometimes it can make a fun night with friends even more fun. As with everything else, you should know your limits.
I screwed up the quote, but for the poster who asked about random testing, it isn’t allowed in Canada UNLESS you have a job where people could be harmed by you being high. So, I imagine surgeons and pilots and police officers and jobs like that would be subject to random testing. Working in call centres, I’ve never been tested and never would be. I’m not dumb enough to get high ar work though.
I see.For me, I use it to help me sleep. Also, it can also just be a nice way to just relax a little. Also, sometimes it can make a fun night with friends even more fun. As with everything else, you should know your limits.
I mean seriously if smoking is not allowed somewhere, people need to realize pot is not the exception.
And people seem to totally forget the impaired driving issue. Cannabis is the drug most frequently found in the blood of drivers involved in motor vehicle crashes, including fatal onesI'd much rather be around a group of high people as opposed to a group of drunk people. I don't enjoy the smell either though. High people around the campfire are a blast, the drunk ones not so much.
“Smoke is smoke. When you burn something, it releases dangerous chemicals and marijuana is no different. Secondhand marijuana smoke contains many of the same cancer-causing substances and toxic chemicals as secondhand tobacco smoke. Some of the known carcinogens or toxins present in marijuana smoke include: acetaldehyde, ammonia, arsenic, benzene, cadmium, chromium, formaldehyde, hydrogen cyanide, lead, mercury, and nickel”For people with asthma, allergies or other breathing issues, your cigarette can immediately trigger severe coughing fits to the point of needing emergency help, nausea, headaches - not to mention the proven cancer risks from second hand smoke. (A loved one DIED as a result of lung cancer - from second hand smoke from parents, then spouse).
Any smokers who expect others to breathe their poison, knowing what we know now about tobacco - has lost THEIR marbles.
They are consuming cannabis that is far more potent than ever before, as measured by the amount of THC it contains. THC, or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for the drug’s psychoactive effects. In the 1970s, most marijuana contained less than 2% THC. Today, marijuana routinely contains 20–25% THC, thanks to sophisticated farming and cloning techniques, and to the demand of users to get a stronger high more quickly. In states where cannabis is legal, many users prefer extracts that are nearly pure THC.I have young adult kids, who’ve had very easy access to pot since they were kids. It was super easy to get before legalization. And much cheaper. I’d much rather teens get it from a vetted source, so much on the street is laced with fentanyl and pcp, it’s dangerous. Vapes too.
edibles sadly don’t work for every personLOL. Hey, I have a simple solution so those of us who cannot stand the smell don't have to just "live with it."
EDIBLES. Win-Win. You get your high, I don't have to smell you.![]()
I have to slightly disagree.“Smoke is smoke. When you burn something, it releases dangerous chemicals and marijuana is no different. Secondhand marijuana smoke contains many of the same cancer-causing substances and toxic chemicals as secondhand tobacco smoke. Some of the known carcinogens or toxins present in marijuana smoke include: acetaldehyde, ammonia, arsenic, benzene, cadmium, chromium, formaldehyde, hydrogen cyanide, lead, mercury, and nickel”
According to American Lung Association
This worries me as well. Young people today don't see any danger in it because they equate "legal" with "nothing to worry about"....worked at this same high school about 7 years ago (before legalization here) and it's such a vast difference. Don't get me wrong plenty of issues before, but it's a complete mind change and shift of right/wrong that cam with the legalization (for adults). Many parents don't care...
Not that those things are great either, but there have been more and more reports of chronic stomach problems due to prolonged pot use. It doesn't seem to affect everyone that way, but it is definitely awful for some.I know so many people who use low dose gummies to help them sleep now. And honestly, it's likely so much better for you than something like ambien or Xanax.
This is what scares me the most. Anybody could be driving around impaired because it stays in your system longer. And people seem to totally forget the impaired driving issue. Cannabis is the drug most frequently found in the blood of drivers involved in motor vehicle crashes, including fatal ones
