But that would require energy. I was in charge of my 28 person office move today. I've been working every night to pack and get the new office done and the movers just left and only half of the stuff is moved in. The other half is still sitting in the warehouse on the first floor, all the offices are upstairs. I should go home but I feel too tired.
Actually I just wanted to take my mind off the whole thing so I came here to the Podcast board to visit some friendly people.

If you're still at the office - take one of those "power naps" so you're awake enough to drive ... then get yourself home for some well-deserved rest.

I will be doing something similar when our library construction project is over and we have to move MANY books.

I am in charge of an 185 person office move in April and am not sure if I am excited about it. I agree with what the PP said.. if anyone complains tell them to get off thier butt and help!!

Remember you are only one person and it will all get done!! (Sooner or later)

I feel for you...our clinic moved about 9 years ago and we're moving again next fall! It was choatic but exciting to spread out into our much bigger space. I'm looking forward to our new lab (much bigger) but not looking forward to packing, unpacking and cleaning!

Thanks everybody for the support.
On Saturday the movers came back fresh and worked at getting it all up to the second floor, by 4:00 they were done. Four of my best employees came in, without me telling them to and we worked all day to get it set up enough and just to get rid of the mayhem. My husband even came by to build shelves for me so I could get more done.
I actually got to take Sunday off! I slept till noon went to a fair in the afternoon and went to Oma's for dinner. A perfect rest day lots of sleep, fun with the kids and somebody to make me dinner. Today everybody was at desks with working computers so we put in a day of real work to catch up. Tomorrow I've mandated a half day of unpacking common areas. Our President went away for the move and he is back Thursday so we have two more days to get it done.
For the two poster that said they are in charge of upcoming big moves don't plan on having too many people around on moving day but make sure they are in the day after the move even if it is a Saturday. We would have gotten so much more done but everyone was off.
For all the pain of the move, I have a nice clean big beautiful office to sit and work or cruise the dis.
That reminds me I better go check the sight lines to my computer.
