There is a song called Sylvia’s Mother by Dr. Hook that I have heard twice now on a 70’s station. It is so bad. I also heard a remake of Stairway to Heaven by Dolly Parton. I used to play in the car when my teenagers were in trouble.

I think the Whitney version is mostly good (the final chorus is annoying), but no I would not say it's better than the Dolly version.
