So, I finally got to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. . . . . . .

And I found it to be. . . . .

Howling
Astounding
Ridiculous (ly fun)
Riveting
Yowsa!

Pure (As add addition to the HP Universe)
Outstanding
Terrific
Timeless
Energetic
Rousing

I was a bit apprehensive being claustrophobic, but, really, I had no issues during the ride at all. I had read all the postings about motion sickness and all, but really, nothing I haven't handled before. Easily Universal's most successful attraction yet.

My only issue was the dementors, to me, too much skelton, I thought they should have been less solid.

Followed my ride with a frozen butterbeer, with a nice buttersctochy carmally taste, but truly one was enough, I've had packets of suger less sweet than the beverage.

My Dw loved FJ so much last year I thought maybe once was enough but she made me stand in line for a hour and a half the next day :lmao: but haven't tried a butter beer since I am not a fan of butterscotch but may have to try it this year :thumbsup2

Glad you liked it! I love it so much but it makes me nauseous. By my third ride, I need to take a seat on a real bench. Otherwise I'd keep going.

I see what you did there. :3dglasses

Try it :thumbsup2

My DH is not a big fan of Butterscotch but he loved it.......especially the frozen one. Preferred it to the regular.

Before I clicked on this thread, I knew your review would be positive! :thumbsup2

Forbidden Journey is the best ride in the world, with the best technology utilised, located inside the best showbuilding in the world, with probably the best queue line in the world as well. Best theming, best franchise, in the best park... etc.

I love to people watch in the queue and see people's reactions to walking through the castle for the first time.

The only bad part about FJ is that darned Greenhouse section.

Best. Ride. Ever. "Say 'observatory' ..." ;)

That exit-through-the-gift-shop is pure madness, though. Being jostled from all sides, don't have time to stop and browse ... After the 4th ride, I learned to just leave.

I'm having major FJ withdrawals and it seems late November will never be here.

Haven't been there yet( going in December) What's wrong with the greenhouse?

Well, there's nothing really wrong with it. It's actually very nice, very detailed. And there's a drinking fountain (Bless the saints!), because my son always seems to be thirsty at this point. For me, it just seems like the line never seems to move once you arrive in the greenhouse. It can be quite hot and clammy in here, but the fans do provide relief.

I liked the building, I liked the queue, I liked the ride technology, . . . . . . . .

. . but I was vastly disappointed with the attraction itself. They forgot the part about storytelling.

Thanks so much for the review! I'm soooo excited for our trip in July. Haven't been to Universal in almost three years.
Keep the reviews/opinions coming!:yay::cool1:

I would love a chance to ride the FJ:cloud9: does anyone know if you can bring O2 on the ride:confused3, Probably not huh:confused3. I didn't enjoy my time at US/IOA because I could only ride 4 rides due to O2 use:eek:, I was not too happy being denied access to the other rides:mad:

Thanks for sharing your adventure!

If you're having to take the O2 tank with you then that would be considered a carry on. Some attractions will not allow carry ons for obvious reasons so you wouldn't be able to do those attractions. You should be fine on the others though. You will be limited but you can still have a good time at whichever park you decide to go to. Of course I could be way off base here but just thought I would give you some advice. :)

Thanks, I could locker it up if need be:rolleyes1
