Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a looong time. I missed you guys! Just a few update, we just made our January Trip plans, we'll be at the Wilderness Lodge Villa's from 1/16-1/23/2010 (we booked through RCI) and I'm sure we can adjust to the deluxe resort thing!

My battle with cancer has been a real up and down deal. I was fairly "clean" in late 2009 but since have had a pretty rough go. Two major surgeries including (gulp!) brain surgery at the end of March. I'm going through a rough patch right now as well but I'm scheduled to start a new clinical trial next week. We all have our fingers crossed!

My Hubby keeps telling me how strong I am, but I sure don’t feel it. I just turned 33 but I feel like a 100. But when I’m on the Boards I feel like a kid again. Duh, I guess I should post more.

Well I better go, I'll do my best to be on more. Take care.

So good to hear from you!!! I am so sorry that things have been really rough for you lately! You HAVE to believe your husband girl - you ARE strong!!! Stay positive and keep praying girl! You have my prayers too!

Hey Joni! Great to hear from you. I'm so sorry that you have been having a rough time. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that the road gets smoother. Come hang out with us if it makes you happy! We're happy to hear from you.

Well, bummer! I just spoke with my knee surgeon (via email) and he said that the soonest he likes to take plates out is 18 months from surgery. So I have to wait until next April before he'll take this one out. Shoot!

On the PLUS SIDE: 99% of my knee issues are GONE. The 1% are the result of the plate. But 99% is pretty danged good. Europe was much easier without knee pain!!

Can I brag a little? Can't often do this in real life!

Anyway, my d worked hard to get an internship, which she basically created herself. Non-paying, but that was fine since it was moving towards her ultimate goal and was good experience. She's loved it so far this summer.

Well, the company got a grant, awarded it to her over all their other interns, and now she's getting paid!

I'm so excited and proud of her! Just had to share!

Checked on airfare this morning...it has dropped a little...$24......it was $306 RT, now it's at $282....good sign!Hopefully by Sept it will be in the range we usually get it....around $220- $230. They like to drop, then raise, drop, then raise...drives you nuts!!!!

I used to camp as a kid so it's second nature to me. I think my kids will love it! And of course I was pricing FW before we even brought the camper home I don't know if I can part with staying at CBR though.

Joni- It's wonderful to hear from you! We've missed you and have been keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Congrats on making it through 2 major surgeries. Best of luck for next week's new treatments. Keep fighting it!!!!

And here's our new camper! We're going to sleep in it in our driveway this Saturday as a test run. At least if we forget anything we can run right in the house and get it! Plus we live in the woods so it's not really that far off from real camping.

Shawna... you make me laugh... I would love to extend but we already bought our tickets... we swtiched to POR because of the pin code for free dining... ended up saving $1100.

Jonie.... you stay strong.... your husband is right!!!! Our family will add you to our prayers..

Sad note about the health of Tims Dad.... the bone cancer has continued to spread and he is so weak from the surgeries he can't have anymore at this time... but he is a fighter... and at the young age of 70 the man has more will power than I do!!! And if matters were not bad enough Tim's mother was dignosed with ovarian cancer on Tuesday. They put her chem port in and are doing sure on Wednesday... she has already won a battle with breast cancer ... she too is a strong amazing woman... my husband is having a really difficult time facing what the possibilites could be... life is so unfair!!!!

Oh gosh Wendy!! I am so sorry to hear that! We will keep praying for your MIL and FIL...and Tim of course!! Life is unfair...but we will be asking for a special peace for y'all.....this has to be so wearing on the whole family. Makes all of our trip planning and little things seem trivial and small...which in the scheme of things, I guess they are...it just helps us keep it all in perspective. When people ask us "you are going to Disney AGAIN!!???" And roll their eyes or say OMG!! Are you kidding? I want to let them see stories like these. For me & Mike...this is what helps bond our family, keep us close, and make memories for when we are older and the kids are gone. And, when they are older and perhaps,... we are gone. This is what our family enjoys at this time, and that's what it is all about. The Lord has blessed us to be able to keep going back every year, and for our kids to be happy to do it....no matter if it's Disney or where...family time is what this is all about....So...we will pray that no matter what happens with your in-laws, they will continue to keep making memories with you--even as they are going thru this. Please keep us posted, so we can be thinking of you and praying!

Kim - cool camper! I'm sure you will have lots of fun with it. My DH and DD7 want one! But DH would need to buy something to tow it with (like that would be a struggle for him!).

Wendy - I'm so sorry about your in-laws. I will keep them and your family in my prayers. You're right - it is unfair. It must be very difficult to have that all at once.

I'm getting so excited - I wish I could pack. We went to see TS3 tonight finally!! In the last week or so we'd re-watched the first two. I loved it. Paige was just cracking up most of the movie!! Yes, I shed a couple tears at the end.

About 12:15 this morning, Joni lost her battle with cancer. She had a very rough few days, her kidneys and liver started to shut down. She fought like hell but it was just too much. What she posted on here was a fraction of the hell she went through. But you guys all gave her an outlet, a place to forget about her problems. I thank you all for that. She loved to read the boards and she cretainly loved Disney. Cancer can't hurt her anymore. Hopefull she can find Walt and they can take a ride or two together.

She really loved you guys.
