Hey girls... I think I hit 80 days today!
I think...but I haven't made sure, so I could be off a day...but we are closer!
Kids are still doing good in school and still liking their teachers...my Senior boy is busy at least one afternoon a week with either Senior stuff, or Student Council...Freshman boy is hanging in there and just being his quiet organized self! LOL!! Really, both of them are very organized and stay on top of all their school work, so I don't have to push!!
DD starts dance next week...she can't wait~she is in her first pre-pointe class and it's driving her crazy to wait! I am Not-so-patiently waiting for Sept to roll around and get a little teeny bit of relief from the heat~this has been a really humid week and the dreaded Love Bugs were flying around yesterday,,oh how we HATE those things!! They come about this time of year and around the end of May...they end around the last of Sept or first part of Oct when we get our first cool snap....Of course, for us, that means 80s for a high! LOL!!
Well,..I got a couple of sundresses at GAP yesterday and I have at least until Thanksgiving to be warm enough! I will bring 2 to Disney I think...

Yes, we had the MagicBands and the FP+!! And it was a good thing. It was crowded! We have gone the last week of August before (this week) and the place was nearly empty. We had to go a week earlier this time because DS14 has Frehsmen Orientation this week, and it was a lot more crowded than I expected! Hot too!

But we made the most of it and had a great time!



Congrats on becoming a TA!! I started in March and finally have some clients traveling this month and next. So i will finally start getting paid for all my work!!

We're staying at POFQ, which doesn't get the bands or the FP+, so I'm a little worried that we'll be at a FP disadvantage. But we'll also make the best of it!

Unfortunately, my ressie was made too long ago to transfer to myself!

snykymom~you are going to love it!! I started my courses in April and booked my first family in May..they leave the end of September/October!! They were my first booking~their packet came in this weekend..cant wait for them to go...their kids are going to love it! And they are at the Poly so I know they are going to have a great family getaway!!

That's great! I'm so glad to hear that, despite all the TAs out there, you are all getting to make a few bucks! I'm really chomping at the bit to get started with the online classes. I also love to cruise (got 2 cruises booked for the winter), so I'm going to pick up some certifications for some cruise lines, too.

At least I'll have a little fun, even if I don't make a fortune!

Eeep! I'm so behind on the posts! Thanks to those who congratulated me for my upcoming trip - I'm uber excited. However, sadly, I started my new job not long ago and lost it this morning - the parents decided they weren't ready to leave their children with a nanny. So, it's off on the job hunt all over again.

We made it home from our trip last night around 8 p.m. So tired! We had a fabulous time! I came back with a sore throat > cold, but other than that we only suffered a chip in the windshield!

School and dance all start on Tuesday for us, so we're resting up!

As most of you know, I've been a ballet teacher for about 10 years. I didn't teach at all last year due to a few different reasons. Well, I'm heading back to the studio this year! I am going to be assisting/co-teaching a few classes this year. Gotta shake the rust off! I am so excited to see my girls again. I missed them last year.

Thanks Meghan! It's good to have a few days to rest up before school. AND my boss is on vacation this whole week, so I can ease back into work and get all the stuff done she left for me before getting any more work!

Congrats on getting back to teaching ballet! My girls have to take it at their studio to be on the comp lines, and Sarah is really moving up fast! She claims she doesn't like it, but she loves to do lyrical dance, so it obviously is a good thing! Paige just does it because she has to. But our studio really emphasizes it and I'm glad.

Did I tell you all that BOTH my girls made the competition lines this year? Whew! We found out on our first day of our trip. Of course, they are on different lines, and don't go on the same days, so we will be taking one of them to dance 6 out of 7 days!! OY!

Stopping by to say hello! We spent a lovely 3 day weekend camping in PA and visiting Penns Cave. I wish I could convince Jason to move to PA! Both my kids started with a cold over the weekend. We made it one week into the school year before the germs got to us. I kept Andrew home today. He didn't sleep well and woke with a headache and a low temp.

I'm getting back into the school year routine and have 7 kids this year. My 8th spot is being held for a sibling that us due around Thanksgiving and will start in Jan/Feb depending on when he or she decides to arrive. I miss my lazy days of summer when I only had 2-3 daycare kiddos. I'm keeping full and laying the groundwork to be closed for next summer though. I have all teacher kids except for one last family.

Well..dd and I went through her room this weekend...we reorganized her LEGOs and toy baskets...we also went through her American Girl stuff..she has been saying for a while that she wants to scale down with all of this...so...we have several dolls/outfits,etc that we are ready to sell...her stuff pretty much all looks brand new as she has really taken good care of it all~if you know anyone who would want a good deal for Christmas or has a child that's a collector let me know!!
it's still pretty hot and very humid down here...most days last week the temp was about 95 and real feel was between 106-108...ready for this to be over!

Hi girlies! Well.. my ticker is at 2 months today!!!!! wooo hoo!! tomorrow is 60 days! I am getting excited! It's been soooo hot and humid and I haven't been in the mood to get any travel 'spirit' for my bunch!! Now, we are 4 out of 5 dealing with the sinus crud...I thought I was completely over it and woke up this morning and my left eye is burning/throbbing...and my throat feels weird again...if it would cool off I think we would all feel better....you get this mess and then go out in the muggy weather and it just magnifies it. I know you Northern gals will be getting some cooler weather in the next week and I am definitely jealous!!
I have started buying tiny travel things for our trip!! It was just a travel size shampoo & cond for me and dd...but it was the first thing!!! Do any of you ever use the Disney Florist over there? I had thought about having them make up a little basket for us...for the kids~they have a family box of questions game I thought was cute and some park snax...just something fun and different~ they have a really cute little insulated bag that you can have monogrammed with your family's last name~one looks like a Mickey bag, and one looks like a Minnie bag...I of course would go with the Minnie since I would be carrying it. It is super cute and the bottom has a zippered insulated area....it's just a thought at this point~may or may not mess with it. Just thought it would be something fun for them to have when we got to the room and have them put in a couple of things for each kid...
I am trying to talk Mike into letting me take them back the last of Jan first of Feb for just a short 4/5 day trip..stay at the All Stars or POR. But I am also trying to decide if we should do something different over Christmas~DS will be 18 and he graduates in May!!!!! So..I would love to take him somewhere he wants to go...so..I have all these ideas and no one here is jumping on the band wagon with me! LOL!!!

I just realized that we've got less than two weeks to go! And I haven't packed anything! Well, at least I only have to pack for myself - DD doesn't live here anymore. How's that for bittersweet? She's meeting me down there.

I should probably make a ticker - we are under 6 months already. I've been so busy and so tired, I haven't even uploaded my pictures from Biltmore and NC for the LAST TR and I haven't started the Alaska cruise TR yet. Just not enough time in the day for DISing! That stinks!

Not much to report here. I had a job interview today (as my other job fell through) with the school board here. I'm not sure I'll get it, but luckily I am working.
