Hi everyone! Just checking in. Glad you hear all you TAs are getting some business. If I weren't DVC, I'd have to take turns with each of you!!

Hmmm, MVMCP vs. V&A? For me it would be V&A, but I've never been to that before. I've been to MVMCP and do love it though. I won't be going to V&A for a while - maybe when we can travel without the kids.

I don't think we'd be too excited about Universal either, except for WWOHP. We just don't do the big coasters. I wish I could just get a limited ticket for WWOHP!

Another beautiful fall day here in MN! Nice relaxing afternoon with NOTHING on my schedule except a little DISing and reading and Not bad!

Maybe I'll set up a Flickr account and organize my Alaska pics. MUST get that TR started!!

Hello snowbirds
Just checking in!! 2 weeks until our next trip (first of 3 in the next 6 months) We bought the dvc premium annual passes when they were cheap so we plan to use them to the max.

Life has been kind of crazy this year...on a positive side, I lost 25 pounds on ww and am now a lifetime member as of May!! DH Bob had shoulder surgery May 27 (he was injured by a patient at work) and life has been a little rough since then. He is still not 100%. He is doing modified duty at work and is not sure if he will ever be able to go back to his old job. This Halloween trip can not come at a better time. I am hoping it will lift his spirits!!

We are trying out the magic bands while we are there and I am very excited and a little nervous to try something new. I was told via email from disney that we can use our fast pass plus and our annual passes for the traditional fastpasses so I am hoping that there are no glitches in the system.

We are skipping the halloween party and doing trick or treating at fort wilderness. We did it last year and our girls said that it was the best halloween ever!!

I hope everyone is doing well. Anyone else going to the world between Oct 29-Nov5? I'd love to see some fellow snowbirds.

For you girls going in January..when are you going?? We are trying the Grand Floridian DVC the last weekend in January!! This will be a surprise for the girls..they are gonna freak.

Sounds like you have some fun trips planned! I hope your DH will continue to recover from the surgery and the trip will do him some good!

We will be at WDW Jan 25-30. Just a quickie! First time at the WL.

Hey girls!!! Hows it going?!! My kids have a Fall Holiday from school today...the boys' school had Homecoming last weekend and the school goes all out for the week, and Bonfire Thurs., Game on Fri, and banquet and dance on Sat. DS17 and his girlfriend went and of course they looked beautiful!
I need to ask y'all to be in prayer for us for a couple of things..He is looking into colleges and we are very up in the air on where he is suppose to go..and that is linked to other decisions~we are not announcing this to many people, and some of you may or may not remember that DH is in the ministry. We do have our business and it has been so blessed by the Lord, and we are so thankful!! But, we are feeling that the Lord is about to move us into more of a ministry direction and less of our business. We are even contemplating a move in the future~ as soon as DS17 graduates in May, or a part-time move before then and get an apartment in the area we are looking at until our house sells or we know where God wants us to be...it's all in the prayer and waiting stage! So,..we have had the house on the market since July~had a couple of parties that seemed very interested, but it didn't pan out for whatever reason. We know it will sell when the time is right...we have lots of loose ends here to tie up before we do anything. One being, selling off some other properties we have and finishing out this last subdivision~ we are very close to the end with all of these things.
I would really appreciate prayers for us when you feel the Lord brings me to mind! I know God has his hand on our lives and things are about to shift into a different direction for our family. I am praying that we are just gonna 'know' without a doubt when we hear the answer we are praying about. I know that was long, but I wanted to have some of you know because we have all been through so much together since our thread started!! Also, feel free to message me here or on FB, but PLEASE don't mention this on my wall~most people here have no idea what we are praying about...and I want to tell our church family and business friends when we know for sure. It may just involve scaling our business down, and DH traveling more for ministry, or a big move. I appreciate having you all to talk to and know that you will keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

I remember when you went through this... I know you were awfully close!!! I will keep praying for you to either get total peace about where you are, or make it clear you need to move....It is definitely not something for us to take lightly at this point~ if I was still homeschooling all 3 kids and they were still small, it would be easier, but at this point, we have both boys in High school and one on the way to college~which definitely alters the big picture. The area we are looking into has some FANTASTIC colleges and schools~so that would be a factor in what area he looks into for college~we have apps sent to schools around! Thank goodness he is getting the ok, and acceptance letters from all the ones we are seriously considering~even if it was JUST college~ we have so many great schools in Texas it's a challenge!

Sending prayers Shawna! God always has a plan for us but sometimes I wish we could have a copy so we could know what exactly is in store!

We've been feeling pulled to make a big move for years now too but it has never completely fallen into place. I don't feel like this is my forever home though and when the timing is right we will be moving. Just waiting for God to tell us exactly when the right moment will be for us and where we should go.

I've been staying away from Disney lately, because I know we won't be back for a while. My trip report is basically abandoned at this point.

I just got on today to price out a trip, and UGH! The prices just keep going up and up. We'll probably end up at the Wilderness Lodge next time, and I priced out January. $204/week night & $250/weekend night!!! with a discount. Hopefully we'd be able to use the military discount again, which is usually a little better, but since we wouldn't be going until 2015 and they raise prices every year, I doubt it will make that much of a difference.
$2000-3000 of our budget gone to accommodations right there... I'm glad I did the Animal Kingdom Lodge for my honeymoon when it was cheap, because I have a feeling we're going to start staying off-property fairly soon.
We'll have to pay for a ticket for G for our next trip AND we'll have another baby. At least, if we go in 2015, the baby will be a free ticket and airfare (unless we buy a seat).

I did mention that I'm pregnant on here, right? I haven't "come out" on Facebook, and I can't remember the last time I checked in here.

Yeah - prices are getting worse for the whole travel business! Flights are ridiculous to everywhere!

CONGRATS on the pregnancy!! I kind of remember hearing that, but I've been off the DIS more than I'd like lately.

Thank you Sheree! I am soaking up our nice weather we were blessed with this week!! Sunny, 70* ish days and 50* for the nights! And the kicker~NO HUMIDITY!! We know it's coming back for a few days next week, so we have to enjoy this while we have it! The weather is another factor we are looking at with our possible move~the area we are really in love with doesn't really have much humidity. They do have a couple of weeks in the summer that they consider extreme heat~days over the Century mark- 100*+,, but hey, we have that for most of July and August and sometime the first of Sept and tons of humidity on top of it, so I can swing 2 or 3 weeks of hot w/out humid!
Well...we are really close to vacation!! I cannot wait!!!! I started going through our packing list and the toiletries I have picked up here and there last night. I have quiet a bit more bought than I thought I did. I have some left over from our little trip to Dallas this summer, that I had forgotten. Just love those little travel items!! So, I made a list of the few things I have left to buy, and hopefully will be getting those today or tomorrow. We only have 3 Saturdays left, so either tomorrow or next Saturday we will cover our pool...we usually try to leave it open until November just in case we need to add chemicals or vacuum, but with the nights being a little cooler, the days just are not hot enough to warm it up now. I may ask them if they are brave enough to swim in in one more time.
Can y'all believe we only have one week left in this month?! That is crazy! For Halloween, we don't really participate anymore, except if the kids at church have a get together~the last couple of years we have just had a skating party for our childrens department and they go in costume...this year DD is going as a bumble bee. She's so cute! I am curious if she will be interested in it next year? She's 10 and by now the boys were saying this was their last year to do a costume or have any part of it....but, girls are so into dress-up she may do it again...

Hey girls!! Well,.. I am down to 8 days… I will work on stuff this weekend that has to be shipped on Monday. That is always a relief because I don't have to think about that part anymore…but now I am debating on if I should just pack it in a suitcase and have that extra room for the junk we always bring home.
I checked accuweather for my trip… shouldn't have done it yet…it is showing rain almost everyday…. I think I won't look again until next Wed or so… that just made me Not good.But, that happens every year and then we get there and it is perfect. I wanted to have a single digits party yesterday for myself, but the day was CRAZY…so the kids just kinda hopped up and down and wooo hooooo 'ed about it, and we were done. So,..I have a handy dandy checklist, or two sitting here and we are going to really focus on that in the morning. I have done all I can do today…I am soooo tired~ I will be hitting the sac early I promise you! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Yes!! Tell me that!! LOL!! DD is selling some of her dolls and toys she doesn't play with anymore~she bought a new cameral and got it on sale!! She was sooo excited~she's been saving for a while. I am trying to get DS14 to part with some LEGOs!!! If he does, you are first on my list! Of course, he is super attached to those darn things…and I don't know why~must be a boy thing…DD will sell just about anything for cold hard cash!
