Thanks Molly! It is a very special time of year at Disney! I don't believe there are any live Christmas trees at Disney, but don't know for sure. I'm guessing they are up way too long for that! I know that most of the resort and park trees at least are created and moved at night, and typically are removed and wrapped to be used again the next Christmas without having to redecorate each year.
The orchestra may have played some Christmas music but the song that jumped out at me that I remember hearing was one of the ones the ensemble played on deck in the movie Titanic when it was crippled in the water, trying to keep the passengers from panicking.....

The crowds are very doable even at that time of the year with a good touring plan. You will see that a whole lot better in the upcoming updates. These first two days were considered bonus days for me, and based on what we wanted to do I didn't really care if the park we headed to was really busy because I wasn't focused on rides yet. As long as you avoid MK and Epcot on NYE you are pretty good. Those two are usually filled to capacity and closed to additional guests at some point during the day of December 31st because everyone wants to be there for the special fireworks. The day I just finished updates on when we were at Epcot really wasn't that bad, at least not in WS. Is there any way you could go before Christmas, as in early December? I don't think the crowds are supposed to be bad at all then, well at least relatively speaking.All your pics are really REALLY making me want to go for Christmas! DH and I tossed the idea back and forth since ideally, he has time off of work. But the crowds! I can't get past the fact that it will be soooo incredibly crowded though. In your opinion, was it doable with the crowds? We want to take DH's parents with us on our next trip and his dad is 80 so I want him to have a relaxing time, not surrounded by wall to wall people.
Oh, I love that song the orchestra played from Titanic, I'm pretty sure it's a hymn, 'Nearer My God to Thee', isn't it? It was beautiful!
It is, and it's not the only one at Disney. Hopefully you will get to visit again soon!

As for your guesses I started to tell you to take another look at your answer right after you posted it to see if you thought it made sense, but decided against it. You are after all a well renowned Post Host and Disney veteran. The thing that I thought you would be maddest about is the fact you put me on the monorail leaving Epcot, but sent me to the Epcot resorts even though the monorail doesn't go that direction.........
I'll give everyone plenty of time to look for the Ali's. No rush on that one......I know!!! I should have gone back over my answer more thoroughly and should have edited it to say FriendShip, but didn't UGH, what a novice mistake. Both in writing and thinking things through twice.
Ah well.... I hope I can find the time to go back and look for Ali's. I sure I'm going to go back to Page 1 and find chapter links, my friend!!!
