Snap-On Smile ~ Has anyone done this?

I have been thinking about doing something to make my front top teeth look nicer. I had braces when I was a kid, but a couple of my teeth have moved over the years which bothers me, and now they are starting to look translucent in the front -- probably from too much soda over the years. I don't want veneers -- too expensive and I don't want my teeth shaved down to nubs.

I was searching the internet and came across something called, "Snap-On Smile." It sounds hokey, so I read some message boards with mixed reviews and then watched some youtube videos of people who have them. They seem to really transform a smile and they look pretty real.

If anyone here has one of these snap-on smiles, can you tell me how you like it? Does it feel weird? Can you eat comfortably with it? Do your teeth look real close up?

Okay, that's really weird. If I were going to spend money on something like that, I would just go the whole way and get braces. They are not for everyday wear. So you go to a party, pop them on and then go to work the next day and everyone sees that your teeth last night were fake. :confused3

Go to You Tube and type in Snap on Smile reviews. There many on there.:thumbsup2

Honestly you really don't sound like someone who would need Snap On if you issues are minor.

Check out YouTube.

I've never heard of snap-on smile but I did just get invisalign braces (again). I'm 30 and I've noticed my teeth shifting over the past few years. I had metal braces as a teen and did invisalign in my early 20s. I guess my teeth are really stubborn. I chose braces versus veneers because I don't want to feel like I'm covering up a issue. Snap on smile seems pretty appealing though!

:confused3 Is this what they call a "flipper" on Toddlers & Tiaras?

I think so. . .same principle, looks like.

I'm actually intrigued by this myself. I have healthy teeth that are stained from my 5+ cup daily coffee habit. I don't want a perfect smile, just one that's acceptable.

ETA: Also, dental work is a trigger for my neuralgia, so this would be a better solution for me, I think than any other, if I want a pretty smile.

I would do it in a heartbeat. Your smile says you!!
Background, I have 32 crowns thanks to 4 kids and constant morning (why do they call it morning sickness if it lasts all day?} sickness.
I would go for it!!

Yeah, breastfeeding one while pregnant with another really did a number on my teeth. No cavities until then.

Also, I wore braces for 5 years when I was a kid, but wore my retainer only one night. So all these years later, my overbite has returned. I went to my orthodontist (yep, same guy and he also did both my DDs braces) and this time he told me he could not do braces unless I had jaw surgery first. I think he said my jaw would have to be broken and reset and then he would put braces on me for one year. I'm wondering why this wasn't mentioned when I got braces at age 12. I really, really wanted braces again. Oh well.

If it will make you feel better about yourself and your smile, then go for it! Nothing wrong with that at all!!

They are flippers like on T&T ... and I think the key with flippers is to really do your research. For some reason, some of the T&T kids have really nice, natural looking flippers and others look like they're wearing some kind of Halloween teeth. Go to the T&T board over on Bravo and see if there's anyone who can recommend a good place. I'm sure the pageant moms there could help out!

I just watched some of the Youtube videos and I'm sold. I even watched a report from Headline News. I'm going to be getting a bit of money next month and I'm making an appt. I know they won't help my overbite, but I'm still impressed enough to check into them. Thanks OP!
