SNAKE encounter on WDW property?

I got itchy just reading this story.
I am ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of snakes. I can't talk about them, I can't see pictures of them, I can't watch them on tv, and seeing one in person which i have done occassionally (Although never at wdw and i hope to forget these stories by the time I go again whenever that it is) causes a complete breakdown on my part.

About 3-4 years ago, while we were waiting in line to see Tarzan Rocks, the CM's had to remove about 4 snakes from the bushes (near the line) Being that I'm not a big fan of snakes I didn't bother to try and take a peek to see what they looked like. I just kept DH between me and the area they were working in. They put them in a bag and moved them....somewhere.

Oh, yeah, I forgot - many times, we've fished snakes out of the BB creek. Probably more times than you all want to know about!

Yep! Our family saw a black one at Wilderness Lodge, slithering across the walkway that connects the bus pick-up area to the Lodge. Kids thought it was a hoot, we wont go into what Mommy thought. ::shudder::

We had a little black one of some kind in the lazy river with us at Bizzard Beach. That seems to be a popular spot for snakes! A lifeguard fished it out with a net. No big deal. You have to expect that sort of thing to happen sometimes. Snakes don't really bother me too much. I'm sort of interested in them. I enjoy seeing them, but I don't want to get too close.

Note to self:
Stay far away from the lazy river at BB! :earseek:

A long skinny black snake slithered across the path in front of my friend and me at CBR. He was just minding his own buisness heading back in to the water, but it took every ounce of my self control not to get hysterical. If my friend hadn't seen it and stopped me I probably would have kept right on walking and stepped on it.

Considering being in Florida, there are relatively few snake encounters at WDW. The same goes for aligators.

Snakes nope. Aligator yep.
