So after the Jodi Benson concert where she sang "Disneyland" from the musical Smile, I looked up the entire soundtrack. I'm actually really enjoying it and am sort of surprised it was a flop. Granted, I haven't read/seen the play. Does anyone have any insight as to why it bombed?

I have the smile show on dvd but in bad quality
