Small tantrum about not being able to make my ADR's.

I called Disney for the umpteenth time since July 1, TRYING desperately to find out the hours for January 09 so that I can start planning my ADR's for the time my 180th day comes up in two weeks.

The CM told me that they are not taking any reservations after January 15, 2009 other than CRT and Chef Mickey's because they are changing the way they do ADR's and the system will be down during the upgrade. Of course I arrive on January 16th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I desperately wanted an 8:05 breakfast in MK for a day that wasn't already morning EMH, and wasn't $$$$$ as CRT.... but now I have no idea when to call in.

I (we) understand your frustration. For all of us arriving in November, we did not have park hours when making reservations. It was extremely frustrating,

You, however, are in a better situation than us! they are not making reservations for anyone after 01/15. Nobody will have a head start on you getting a restaurant you want.

Keep checking this amazing board. Someone always has the lastest and greatest info. Im sure you will find out in plenety of time when you can make your reservations. Also, call Disney daily/weekly if you can. Mid Jan is pretty slow in the World, so you shouldnt have any problems if you dont call the first available day.

One last thing, I saw a thread on this board about reservations changing to 90 days instead of 180 beginning Aug 1. I havent read the thread, but maybe this has something to do with it.

It has to do with the 90 days vs 180 days. There are at least two threads about the change on the board about this. One is More Changes and the other says 90 vs 180. More Changes is on page 2 or 3 and 90 vs 180 is on the main page right now.

Like the PP said - this is true for everyone and not just you, so nobody will have a leg up on you when you can call at 90 days.

I think if you keep watch you should dtill get - we are there over Christmas & I have had to book at 180 days out for each meal as we are offsite. I got everything for Christmas day we wanted and BBB for the next, they even offered me CRT

So fingers crossed.

Well this stinks! I was set to make my ressies in 2 weeks!

I want to do CRT, does this mean I can still do that one at 180 days and the rest at 90 days?

Though there is no official word yet, that's my understanding from all of the links I've checked out. CRT, V&A, CM - all at 180 days.

We are arriving the 16th of January also so I understand your frusteration. I have my tentitive schedule all set. With the change to 90 days I should now have time to consider if I want to do the DDP when it is announced for 2009 before I need to may my ADRs.

Not happy with the change since it is so close to my time to visit the World but what can you do.
