First class package. Was going from Michigan to Wisconsin... not sure how it ended up Toledo to be honest because the original post office is close to Detroit.

Well if it wasn't an international package you got me..that would leave me with thinking it go lost somewhere and then rediscovered which would be sucky (though at least you go your package I guess lol).

As for the going from MI to OH..I tell ya I have a package a time or two (with USPS, UPS, FedEX) get on the wrong truck and end up somewhere nowhere near where it's supposed to be. I had an Amazon package several years ago go from IL to KY to FL then MO then KS..that was shipped with UPS (the IL, KY, FL, MO part) with the final handling being USPS (the MO to KS part) It should have just gone from IL to MO to KS.

And yes like one poster mentioned, the PO does deliver the 'last mile' of a lot of the UPS packages, cause they don't want the extra cost! As any other company right now or business or agency, it will take the USPS a while to recover as much as any. And, yes one or two of my items ordered recently got here a day or so later, so even Post Office employees or retirees, get caught in the mess too. Hugs all and stay safe!

UPS does not just hand over packages to be delivered by the post office because it doesn't want to deliver them. UPS Sure Post is specifically marketed for final delivery from the post office. It's UPS Ground + one extra day. If you're getting a regular UPS package the day they are going to hand it over or a UPS pacakge the next day, then they will deliver the UPS Sure Post package themselves. FedEx SmartPost operates the same way.

Hmm I'm not seeing where they are saying that the slowdown was directed at slowing down shipping for live animals. At this point it's speculation the the entity that is USPS specifically is responsible in that they specially ordered slow down for live animals (unlikely though I suppose maybe not entirely unsurprising).

Another explanation is that someone didn't take to heart the live animal aspect. Multiple articles state that the bulk of the total chickens went through one processing facility in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Could be this place is a big issue.

I'm aware I'm talking specifically about live animals. By the very design you can't really slow down live animals as a process...because live animals will die not to mention inhumane aspects possible in transit. I'm questioning whether there was a protocol from the USPS that directly affected live animal transport and slowed that aspect down. I further questioned it as the bulk of the chicks came through 1 facility. We're not talking sorting machines (which they've removed some from the main center in my metro), we're talking the assumption that there was a deliberate action by the USPS as an entity as a whole to slow down the delivery of live animals such that it led to their deaths (which is the accusation).
