I tried searching :surfweb: but for some reason I only get blank screens even walked away for about 10 mins in case it was just a case of searches take awhile on the site

Anyway when we booked for 2007 I was able to find info on Disney busy and slow times. I have flexibility and like to go with low crowds:wizard: . Can anyone point me in the right directions, I can't seem to find the info I used last year.

Thank you in advance for your help.......... and I already know holidays and spring break are the busy times:laughing: .

Disney's slower times are most of January (except first three to four days which is usually still the Christmas crowd and time around Martin Luther King Day which is quite crowded) and first week or so of February. From President's week through third week of April varies from etremely crowded (two Easter weeks) to just hugely crowded (Presidents week) to very crowded most of the other time. End of April through May before Memorial day weekend is not bad. Memorial Day weekend and week is very crowded. First two weeks of June are usually quite crowded. Mid-June to mid-August is huge summer crowd with time around July 4 being extreme. Last two weeks of August are not bad. Labor Day Weekend and most of the week is very crowded. Rest of September is slow time. October to Saturday before Thanksgiving is usually crowded but not overwhelming except time around Halloween is heavier than others. Thanskgiving Week is hugely crowded. First two weeks of December are quite doable but Christmas crowd slowly builds after that and reaches enormous by the 23d.

That's Disney not DVC. For DVC reservations, the time after Thanskgiving week until mid-December is probably the highest demand time of year and use of 11 month window is a necessity. Any holiday times are also very crowded. Most of January to early Feb, except time around MLK weekend is usually crowded but not not hugely. Spring Break weeks are all crowded. May and September are generally light except for times around Memorial and Labor Day weekends. Summer weeks, except that surrounding July 4 are not bad and last two weeks of August are light. October and November are very heavy, including because of the wine festival.

I'm not clear on whether you're implying P-week is lighter or heavier than Easter and even how close the two are. From scores of travel reports I've read on both periods, yes, P week is "busy" but it's not even close to the mob nightmares of Easter, which in some cases is just about as bad as Christmas. P week is also critically affected by whether Mardi Gras falls during it (as it did in 2007). In those years, it results in heavier crowds at WDW during P week due to the fact most of Louisiana is off then. This year, Mardi Gras fall early (this week in fact) so it won't impact P-week.

Bottom line - P week primarily attracts families from the northeast and certain areas of the upper midwest who have school breaks that week. It can also be impacted by when Mardi Gras falls.

Easter on the other hand attracts families from everywhere and is subsequently always worse than P week.:teacher:

It also should be noted that for DVC, October is a very busy month because of the Food and Wine Festival AND the Halloween Party, so you need to reserve DVC hotels early. All the weekends are VERY crowded in October, because the locals come in for the day to Epcot, too. DVC isn't necessarily busy at the same times as Disney, except for the holidays. Low point times tend to be rather busy because, well, they use less points. That's when the 7 month window is useful.:)

Lower DVC times would probably be after the Marathon in Jan. Early February. Early May. Late August. Early Sept.

What I intended is that President's Week is generally worse than most spring break weeks except those two surrounding Easter. However, those two weeks surrounding Easter stand with Christmas week as the most crowded of the year and those three weeks really don't have other weeks that you can even compare them to when it comes to crowd size. I have been almost all times of year including those holiday weeks. If you think in terms of a closet that is 6 feet across and 3 feet deep, September, which I consider one of the lightest times of year, is like sticking two people in that closet, President's week and many summer weeks are like trying to stick 5 to 6 people in that closet. Christmas week and the two Easter weeks are like trying to put the Chicago Bears football team into that closet.

Unless those people in the closet in Sept are the Manning brothers and their dad.
