What’s your opinion of Chili Mac?

For Me……I don’t like it :sad2:
I’ve tried to like it multiple times, but I can’t do it.
So when my DH makes chili, and he makes a great chili, I make some macaroni noodles for him and DD18, and I eat my chili with just cheese and oyster crackers.

I’m not sure what you mean. Chili over cooked elbow macaroni? Or macaroni mixed in?

I like mac & beef with a tomato sauce, but I never tried chili with any form of pasta.

Is Cincinnati chili served over spaghetti?

I don't make it but my one brother loves it and usually brings down a huge pot to our Christmas Bonfire. :)

I don't like it. I don't like chili.

Is it just chili over elbow macaroni? As concoctions go, it doesn't sound too bad (might be an improvement on plain chili). When my husband is responsible for dinner, he sometimes makes something his mom used to make that he calls "chili burger" -- it involves elbow macaroni, canned chili, tomato soup, and American cheese slices (a total 1980s back-of-the-soup-can recipe). I think it smells like dirty socks. I do not eat it. Now he only makes it when I'm away for dinner. He and the kids like it though.

Omg I do like it - chili over macaroni yup I’ll take it
Now my family likes making chili 5 way like Steak N Shake - I’m not a fan - I believe that is over spaghetti - I don’t mind the spaghetti it’s the other stuff I’m not crazy about
I like chili over my hot dogs
I like it with a ton on cheese and some chips
Making it for Halloween along with Mummy Dogs and some nacho dip!! I’ll be munching while my 200 to 300 trick or treaters tell me jokes !!!! It’s a thing around here to tell jokes for candy

I had to laugh at your “smells like dirty socks” comment. And the 1980s back of the can recipe. All true.

I would try it. I never got used to chili over spaghetti when we lived near Cincinnati.

I like my chili without noodles.......hot dogs are good.

DS likes Mac and beef. I make it for him.......he doesn't do beans.

I like chili without any kind of pasta.

Also, the only way I eat macaroni shaped noodles is as mac and cheese because years ago I made a Hamburger Helper that had macaroni noodles in it and I got sick that night and threw up and whole noodles came up. It was so gross that I haven't been able to eat them again since unless they were heavily coated in cheese.

Not a thing here.

Though dh puts chili over rice. I think his step mom did it to stretch the meal to feed the blended family with 6 kids.

To me Chili Mac is not chili. It is a pasta dish cooked with a sauce that tastes like chili. Not pouring chili over a plate/bowl of pasta. If I'm making chili as a soup, I want it in a bowl as a soup and I want corn bread or fresh Italian bread with it.

I like chili mac the dish. I love chili if I make it.
