16

For some reason the number 16 keeps popping up for me in random things like group number and phone ext at work and a yellow rubber ducky that I pulled for a raffle. That is just a few examples. :)

I chose 22 but truly my lucky number is 822. Our first son was born on 8/22 and for whatever reason, that number pops up a lot for me. I have played pick 3 in the lottery and have won with 822. I wake up on the weekends and roll over and look at the clock and it's 8:22. There are more times than I can count that I'm buying something and the total ends in 8.22 or my change is 8.22. It's funny because I wouldn't be thinking about it and one of my three sons would say "look mom, it's 822 again". It just somehow became my thing.

:confused3 Favourite number?!? It seems like a weird question. To have one, you’d need to be either sentimental or superstitious and I’m neither of those things.
Does it really seem weird? I can certainly understand people not having one but haven’t you heard people talk about favorite numbers before?

My instinct’s telling me 1.618 but 4 has been very good to me, and has nice symmetry.

I know you didn't ask me - but in all my 49 years I've never once heard anyone reference their favorite number, or ask me what mine was or if I had one.

DS used to get asked by teachers in school. He thought it was silly, too, and started answering "Pi" pretty young. :rotfl:

I've only been asked by kids, but frequently enough that I've thought about the answer (as previously posted, 144...it's a square, divisible by a bunch of other numbers, and gives me a teaching springboard at pretty much any level.)

Not really, no. I've heard some people say they have a "lucky" number, like something they always play on the lottery or whatever but the idea of "Oh, I just love the number 235, it's my favorite!!"? :confused3Never heard that. Lots of people on this thread are mentioning why they like the number they like and I guess it makes sense but again, I'm really not the sentimental type.

I don’t really have a favorite, but I do have numbers that are meaningful to me that I use as a PIN or part of passwords, that help me remember them. None of them are dates, which would be too obvious. One is the house number of my childhood home, and one is the last 4 digits of my grandmother’s phone number. (Landline she had for decades.)
