Our town has a small car show every week in the summer on the same night as the Farmer's Market in the town park. I've been to a couple slightly larger shows too.
I enjoy them but am just a spectator for now. One day I would be interested in attending with an old Bronco, K5 Blazer, Ramcharger, F150 or Suburban. First step is actually owning one of those.
I've been to many car shows in my youth, fewer for sure in my current years. Pretty tough doing the walking now. I really do long to go though.
Our town has a large one every Saturday in the summer, differently themed each week. And a local hot dog drive-in has one every Tuesday, also big turnouts. I have been to both in recent years, just not as often as I'd like.
And msny years ago, early 60's, hung out and raced at an American Graffiti type drive-in. That was like an active participating car show always. Geesh, that was over 60 years ago. Such great memories.
If I can count my annual NHRA race I attend each year as a car show, then I go to one at least every year.
Nearly every week there is a small one in the little plaza place by me. We go to eat and drink and always see the cars. Sometimes we walk down the strip to look at them all.
My husband has an El Camino. There is only one local car show where he drives it to. Otherwise, it mainly sits in the driveway for 5 months and goes back into storage, LOL!
I don't mind looking at old cars. One of our local church festival does one and it's very well shown and attended. Together we might go to one or two shows to look.
