It's been quite a long time since I have been to WDW. When we were there, (I would hope/assume it would still be the same), we used the buses extensively. They ran from the resort to the parks.

I also remember using the monorail just to try it.

We flew in, and took the motor shuttle to WDW, so we didn't have a car while there.

Ever wish you could go from China to France without walking World Showcase?

That was possible back in the 1980s. There were bus stops and double decker buses on the main path slowly making their way through all the countries.

We made one trip in the 80s, and I remember this. I have a pictures somewhere. Great memory!! I sure wish they'd bring back something like this. Full on sun in Epcot is the worst!

Our family trips to WDW have all been driving there, but once we get there, we park the car, and generally don't use it again. Depending on the resort, we use whatever Transporation they have, and prefer to stay at places we can walk when possible. We're often at Boardwalk for that reason, and do use the boats/skyliner often too. Loved the boats to/from Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge. Skyliner is so fun to ride. Otherwise, almost exclusively ride the Disney buses. Even when doing resort to resort, we'll take a bus to a park or Disney Springs, then the bus to the resort. Only once have we done an uber. Sometimes bus transportation factors into our resort choices, like I really would never choose SSR or OKW again due to their bus system, all the stops. It can be frustrating waiting for multiple buses. But we dont' want the hassle of driving. We have driven to AK to rope drop FoP, and last year, it wasn't awful driving from SSR to HS, but overall, once that van is parked, it's parked until we leave.

....I've used all the forms of DWD transportation:
buses
Friend-ships
monorail
ferries
Skyliner
MK train
elephants
jet skis
camels
kites.............popcorn::

I like the Skyliner and the boats. I will ride the Monorail when I am at one of those resorts. Buses when nothing else is available.
