In today’s world the majority of people use their phone calendars to keep their lives organized. Some people even use a specific app to help them when the phone calendar isn’t good enough. With me managing a doctor’s office I see some people using both pocket calendars and phone calendars to write in their appointments. If you’re wondering why people use either, here ya go……

Some people may think older people use paper calendars, and you’d be surprised at the amount of young people, specifically women, that pull a pocket calendars out of their purse and write in it. So where do you fit into the paper vs digital calendar. Give us your organized answer today……

Do you use a paper calendar or digital calendar?
If you use both…..which one do you use more?
(multiple choice)

For Me…….I use both - my phone calendar, an app calendar (Cozi App) and a desk pad calendar. I rely on my digital calendars more than the desk calendar. The desk calendar is just a backup in case something happens to my phone. The app we use is great - all 3 of us have it on our phones, and all three of us can input events into the calendar and the app reminds all of us what’s going on with each other. I’ve had this app for as long as I’ve had my iPhone and I love it.

Paper only here - pocket in purse and a wall calendar and I keep my wall calendars forever and have had to go back and look things up on them - they are like a diary of my life as I write all kinds of things on my wall calendar

Paper.
Wall (always a Disney one). DH has to look at that one often for all the medical appointments.
Pocket one....we each have one, so when we go to appointments, we can check and make sure we don't double book.
And a flat desk one that is by my desk computer, it has just my things written on it.....and birthdays

I use digital. Phone calendar is Samsung, very similar to Google. On my desktop PC and laptop, Outlook. Phone and computers all synch. I broke with the paper msybe 20 years ago. Used to use a Franklin Day Planner. In a zippered, leather binder, the size of a Bible.

All digital.

Shared with the family.

We have a common shared calendar that acts as my wife and I's primary calendar. That calendar is also shared with my adult children who also have their own private calendars.

That way we all generally know what is going on in each others lives.

Paper would not work at all for our use case.

I use both.

I only use digital. I have digital at work...in fact, two which are supposed to overlap and feed each other. My home calendar is just what came on my phone, which gets a bit annoying since DD18 is tethered to my account and I have all of her reminders as well as mine. I really have no desire to know the math center's schedule!

Other. I used the Outlook calendar on my work desktop; all our systems are Microsoft-based. I do occasionally review it on my iPhone when I’m away from the office but trying to use Office 365 on an Apple product is sometimes glitchy. Other than that, I write reminders on random scraps and leave them lying around where I can see them - does that count as a paper calendar? ;)

I prefer paper, however I use Google Calendar that my husband and oldest child who has a cell phone can see, it keeps everyone (generally) on the same page -- even though I STILL get my husband asking "what's going on such and such date?" Dude.

I use both. The digital app is to view most of my medical appts.
The paper one is youngest ds work schedule. I try to do some appts when he can take off fmla.

Digital. I use the google calendar on both my computer and phone. I do keep all the little doctor appt. cards I get until the day of. I only do that because I've had more than one occasion when I've shown up for an appt. and they say I didn't have one. I can pull out the card and show them that, yep I do. Back before I retired I kept a paper desk calendar as well as the calendar on my desktop that was with our e-mail system, which was Lotus Notes. I used the desk calendar more for reminders for things that were expiring like software licenses for clients.
