BEcuase its a Disney rule - if you have a package with Dining (everyoen pays for it uniless its a promotion) then EVERYONE in the room has to have it - even if she doesn't eat alot it doesn't matter. I would contact Disney or your travel agent, or Virgin, or whoever and double check - would hate for you to have to pay up big bucks later on

In your situation it doesn't matter how you booked or where you live. The WDW rules are universal for adding a guest after you check in. You can do it no problem and they DO NOT have to have the same package as the rest of the group.

If the extra person is added before the trip, then these responses are correct in that everyone has to have the same package including the dining plan and number of tickets.

If the extra person is added at check in then they do not have to be on the same package.

Just adding an "absolutely" to what you said, dansdad. That is the way Disney has worked and I haven't heard otherwise.

That has nothing to do with it.


If you added her NOW, you would have to have her put onto the full reservation.

When you add her at checkin, you don't. She'll just be a hotel guest.
