I read something very recently that they are going to begin working on opening it again. They mentioned that entertainment services had done a number on the inside, so it might take some time. I'll try to look for that article and post it.

I have read of CMs in the park confirming it. I know I heard from a CM on one of my last two trips that it was being worked on (can't remember if it was our VIP tour guide or the CM that works in the Tinkerbell Shop). What else would you think those refurb walls are for?

i read on on the sites earlyer today that some have been saying it will be opened shortly (this year) there were pics of them working on it and stuff

That's what I hope they're for, but I've seen so many rumors about what was happening at various Disney attractions over the years that I've become quite firmly ensconced in the seeing is believing mode. I still remember the walls surrounding the old America Sings theater for years before anything happened in there.

Don't get me wrong as I really want to see this come back. But because I want it so badly, I cannot get excited about it until Disney confirms it with the formal announcment and everything. I don't want to get my hopes up about something I would love to see come back only to find out that they were merely walking in the castle to check some things out for a new fireworks show or something like that.

I could see the Two Castles being targets of some devious plot...but I suspect that money was more behind its closeing.

But cant wait for it to be reopned it would be awesome for it to have a grand reopening on Auroa's and Maleifcent's birthdays...

Add Screamscape to the list of those reporting this rumor. They're saying it will be open sometime around Labor Day.

Wow this is happening fast it should be open for trip in Oct. cant wait to take Arty and Jade through it. Gotta maks sure to get good pics...might take two trips. Once to find the flash for the camera on glass if its like the old walk through. Wonder if they'll update it showing projections from the movie or somthing...cant wait to see what they come up.

You know, in looking through the referenced articles, I can't find anything that says it will be open by Labor Day or October. All I saw in the referenced article was this: "Mice Age’s Dateline Disneyland columnist Andy Castro reported that the 50th anniversary “Sleeping Beauty” DVD, due out in October 2008, will include a computer-animated re-creation of the Anaheim theme park’s castle walk-through."

This just says that the DVD will have an animated recreation of the walkthrough on it.

Screamscape referenced this same article: "(6/26/08) The LA Times has confirmed that the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk-through attraction will reopen later this year, likely as a tie-in to the October 2008 DVD release of Sleeping Beauty which may also contain a computer-animated re-creation of the walk-through experience as well. " but the article they reference with the link here is the same one quoted above, which doesn't say anything about the actual opening of the walk through, just the DVD release in Oct.

It would be interesting to find out where it says it will be around Labor Day. Anybody have that information?

The around Labor Day info I saw was from screamscape, so perhaps they've changed that info. The reason why I'm still in the seeing is believing camp is because the L.A. Times is merely repeating the original internet rumor. As much as I hope it comes back, I'm not going to celebrate the return until it has actually returned.

Well a few months back I actually posted a bulletin about this, and I actually heard that most and if not all of the parts of it have been removed and placed in the windows of the shops on main street

Although I heard from a cast member about two and a half years back that it might re-open
