Anyone out there have one of these? Any thoughts, good or bad?
Anyone have a discount code they would like to share? Someone is selling one on ebay for $20.00!
Thanks

I have a Queen pillow-top sleep number bed. It is not quite three years old. My only complaint is that it sags in the middle where the two air bladders meet. There is a strip of foam in that area, but it slips down. It isn't bad for me because I am the only one sleeping in the bed. If I were sleeping with someone else, I think it would be a big pain because a person definitely rolls toward the middle. I did some research awhile back when I noticed the problem. I found a message board about mattresses and this seems to be a pretty common complaint about some of the sleep number beds. On the otherhand, my DD also has a sleep number bed. She does not have the pillow top and doesn't seem to have the sagging issue.

We've had one for about a year. Unfortunately, we don't like and would get rid of it if we could. Had we of purchased the regular sleep number bed, we probably would've been satisfied but we purchased the individually adjustable bed and hate it.

At the time of our purchase my husband was going thru cancer treatments and the only way he could sleep well was to be able to adjust his head and legs....I don't like to sleep with my head/legs adjusted so the salesman convinced us to buy the king size bed with separate adjustable controls. However, this means that you have a king size base and two twin beds that adjust individually. When we question the twin size bed and would there be a gap in between them we were assured that the beds were manufactured to not have any type of gap.

We decided to purchase it and have regretted it since. There is a large gap between the mattresses and there is nothing to do about it....we've tried several different options to fix it. The return policy is only good for the actual mattress and not anything else so we could've returned the twin mattresses but they were the least expensive items! We would've only gotten a 1/3 our investment back.

So my advise is not to get the separate control bed....I like the mattress and sleep fine on it (after several weeks of finding the actual number for me - it does take a while) but hate the bed. I wish we could sell it and just buy a king size tempurpedic mattress.

Oh well, live and learn.

Thanks. I guess we'll keep looking. I have been having trouble with my legs at night and thought this might be a good option.

A different opinion -- we have a King size sleep number bed and LOVE it. We have the controller for each side of the bed and have not had any issues with sag in the middle. The only thing I can think of bad about is that every month or so, we have to re-adjust our number to be where we like it. No biggie. It is so much better than a conventional mattress/box spring.

Another Sleep number lover here ! I have the king withthe pillow top it is 4 years old I think and we are still in love with it .

They do have a lifetime warranty on them ( FerelPeg you should call them and tell them of the sagging) We had a stain on it ( knew I sholuldnt have let Nephew sleep in the big bed LOL ) we called to see what to do about cleaning and they sent us a new topper ! WOW is all I can say

Sleep wonderful on it . My DH is a Firefighter /Paramedic and his back has a lot of problems when he has a rough day . I sometimes have to lift BIG dogs at work and my back hurts somedays . It keeps us all sleeping like we babies. They do have a 30 day return if you need to they give you 100% return : ) you only need to pay shipping back to them

We also have a king size sleep number bed - ours is about 1 1/2 years old. We LOVE it! I do agree with a previous post - every month or so you have to readjust the sleep number. I've noticed it when the temperature changes. We don't have any issues with the middle sagging.

We are also a HUGE fan of the pillows at the sleep number store. Both of us have one.

We purchased a Sleep Number bed while I was having herniated disk problems in my back. I couldn't stand a soft mattress at all (and I never thought our previous one was soft).

We thought we would instantly love it but it took us about a week or so to get used to the bed, find our sleep number, etc.

Now the best thing for us is that I am still on the high side (#75-85) but my DH is only a #30-40. It is weird to meet in the middle but adjustments can be made to accommodate requirements :rolleyes1

Now we are both sleeping soundly, hardly moving at all during the night.

I also purchased a 'tempurpedic-like pillow" from Sharper Image, which I love.

Good luck!

I was buying beds evey 6 mos because my back and hip. Anyways we bought a king size select comfort dual control and we love it.

Best bed we ever had

We have a King, dual control. I was surprised to read about the sagging in the middle, because we've had exactly the opposite problem. We have a raised area down the middle of our bed. We took out some of the foam (as directed) and it is better, not as pronounced, but still there.
We sleep well, but in hindsight, knowing what I know, I think we could have done as well for less money.

Hey we have the queen pillowtop and and it sags also, We called about 6 months ago and they sent a new base, it didn't help, My DH just called again last week and they sent a whole new mattress -(the air bladders) and a whole new middle foam piece and a foam cover but it still doesn't do any good, they sad they would send new air bladders but we thought we would give it a couple weeks. maybe it is just the queen beds that have issues.

The best is moving with it. No huge mattress to move, easy to set up and an instant bed exactly to my liking and my DH gets his exact liking too! No sagging issues here. Meeting in the middle is a bit of an experience at first. I now adjust my number before meeting in the middle and no issues at all!

Best bed we've owned!

Love ours! Have had a queen sized pillowtop for about 4 or 5 years now.

The one on ebay (if I'm looking at the same one) for $20 is for the foundation only and for local pickup. (Foundation is like the boxspring).
