Sister Wives

Watching it now-I don't get it...I thought Robyn was announcing she is pregnant at the last season finale. Now she is saying she is not pregnant? What was the "big news" that Cody said she was announcing at the end of the last episode? My DVR cut off the last few minutes of that episode.

Still not liking Robyn at all....she is in a plural marriage yet everything seems to always be all about her and her feelings...ugh!

I honestly do not think it will be long before we see Meri gone, she just doesn't seem happy and going back to school will open up so much more in friendship/relationship possibilities.

Personally, I think Janelle will be the first to leave.

They all seem so unhappy and horrible to each other! Janelle cannot let it go that Meri was "mean" in the beginning of their marriage. It was like 20 years ago and she continually gripes about it! Robyn isn't letting this sister wives closet thing die....no one wants your over priced ugly jewelry!

I just can't stop watching though!

I just don't get the whole issue about what the website will sell-I looked at it over a year ago and it carried a bunch of mass produced over priced junk that robyn and no one else in the family has any hand in designing. I just went to check the site again, and while they've taken down some of the junk there's still the same junky watches that a quick google search finds on line at walmart for less. I did notice though-all the more expensive jewelry is on a sale site with the prices dropped so I'm wondering if they've finally figured out that no one is interested in it.

I think it's interesting to see how as the kids are preparing to graduate from high school they already have exit strategies in place to get out of those homes as fast as they can.

Haven't watched it yet but who is the "new woman moving into the house" that was previewed on TLC???

Anyone else think it was strange not saying anything about Dayton's accident for 2 years. I figured something happened with the scar and droopy eyelid, but I can't believe there wasn't any reporting on the accident sooner.

I knew about the accident. It happened a couple of years ago when he was visiting his Father (not "friends"). I can't remember exactly how I heard.

I think it's sad that Robyn want her 3 kids to call Cody "Daddy" and pretend their birth father doesn't exist. Cody can certainly have a good relationship with them. Their Father does want to be a part of their lives.

I could be wrong, but I'm assuming that Meri's more recent behavior has made it difficult for Janelle to get over the distant past. For example, Meri's insistence on having a wet bar for her home and an expensive private education for Mariah makes me think that she hasn't exactly grown past her "my way or the highway" ways.

Add me to the "Why do I watch this?"/"Can't stop watching" club.

Agreed. Unless your kids' biological father is consistently MIA or incredibly dysfunctional, I think it's really disrespectful to refer to their stepfather as their Dad/Daddy. I think it's especially cruel given that their father can see his kids calling another man Daddy.

Was she just there for the graduation? I totally missed something if she's there to stay permanently. And she's the one that was married to Kody's father, right?

It wasn't in this episode, but rather in the previews for upcoming ones. Janelle's mom is the one married to Kody's dad

Ugh, add me too! Can't look away....

I just shake my head the whole time I am watching the darn show. By the end of the hour, my neck is sore! Lol

It was strange that they never mentioned Dayton's injury two years ago but if it happened while in the care of his father (Did Cody legally adopt her kids??) maybe they couldn't talk about it because there were legal issues involved? Suing the dad for negligence? I don't really know, but talking out loud...lol

And did the designer girl get the internship with the designer? Her designs were so plain, I would have thought she'd have fabric swatches with them and colors colored in. I thought it looked like drawings I could have done and I have NO creativity.

Does sound like the kids can't wait to get away from the clan!!

And as always, I always wanna know "How do they afford everything?" 2 graduation parties?? The few rooms of the house that we got to see during the show seemed very simply furnished.

And can't believe Janelle is harboring all those so called pent up feelings from 20 years ago. Who pays for therapy sessions and a trainer???

Sister Wives jewelry is going nowhere. I really wanna know WHAT Robyn does that makes her WORKING ALL the time for the jewelry. She's always complaining of being too busy working to have time to stop and have a baby. Do any of them have college degrees??

I think that she's going to live there permanently. Now that two of Kristine's older girls are off to college, they must need someone to help watch all of the kids.

Count me in as another one who can't turn away from this trainwreck....

Did anyone else notice Cody sleeping with a child in his arms in the midst of the chaos of one of the parties? You have umpteen children who could all use a little time and attention and you're sleeping?!?

All the older girls seem very scarred by having to move at what is a formative age for kids and just want to get the heck out of dodge right now. What kind of an incoming freshman is offered a job that she needs to be at "right away" after high school graduation? I thought the fact that she cleaned out her entire room to take with her was very telling.

I'm betting that Janelle will be out of there the minute that her last kid leaves the nest. She obviously has some VERY deepseated issues. It reminds me of those early episodes where her oldest son got the other kids up fed and off to school in the am because she was the only other adult working a full time job outside the house.

I thought both the lip synch and home movie were HORRIFYING and can't imagine doing that to my graduate! Especially the bad Maddie/good Maddie thing, really, you want to drag all that dark history out into the light of day on what should be the happiest day of her life, especially now that she's turned her life around?

And when the middle daughter talked in interview, I thought "who is she"? We seem to see the oldest ones and the littlest ones, but never the middle ones!

I won't even go into the shop owner "flirting" with Cody (shudder)....

And yet I continue to watch!

Exactly! Meri has one child (who now doesn't live at home) and she "needs" a 5 bedroom house? Not buying that the only way to get her "wet bar" was to have a house that big…have someone come and build one after, if it's not in the original house plans.

I think Janelle is the only one with a degree/profession (accounting I think), so she's probably the only one who could make it on her own if she wanted...

And how the heck do they pay for those huge houses?

I don't recall ever seeing the wet bar being used for any of their parties. Do the even use Mari's house? It seems like they're always at one of the other 3 houses.

That bothers me to no end. My oldest has a dad that was never in the picture and my ex husband is the only dad she has ever known and she is legally adopted by him...so yes...she calls him Dad. But to call a step parent Dad or Mom when there is an actual parent who in involved in the kid's life if rude and disrespectful. I can't stand when people have their kids call their new boyfriend or husband "daddy".

off my soap box now....

They're baa-aaack!

I'm in on the train wreck again. It's obvious TLC bates them and the cuts for promos to get us all thinking that Robin is pregnant again or Cody is adding another wife.

Will anyone be watching the new show coming this Sunday I believe..
Something about "my husband is not gay" ?

I have to wait until next week to watch...I forgot to set the DVR. This train wreck show I love! The one with 5 wives...boring.

Sorry but I thought those drawings were sad and plain and no respectable designer would offer her an internship based on what we saw. Not saying she can't be a designer if that is indeed her passion, but reality is she needs to work harder at getting better before a big name is going to take her under his wing. I kind of felt embarrassed for everyone involved while he was looking at her portfolio.

Then again, they think their overpriced ugly jewelry is the best thing ever so there are definitely some delusions of grandeur going on in that family...I also don't understand what about the business is forcing Robin to work SOOOO HARD that she doesn't have time for anything else.

And don't even get me started on those houses!!! :faint:
