Sinister Soiree Questions

My daughter and I are booked for 9/23- her birthday. :) However Im not really clear on the logistics of the actual party. When I booked the CM did not give me a choice of seatings- just told me to check in at will call or at the forecourt stage/central plaza area then be at the castle by 10:05. Is the dessert party from 10:15-11? What time do I need to be at the 8:15 parade viewing location? Had I had the choice I would have chosen the later seating... :rolleyes2

The time I was given for 10/28 was 9:50pm

I spoke to a CM in events and ticketing, she sounded confident that the soiree was for 100 but no more than the max capacity of CRT which she said was 120, but after a bit of Google searching several sources confirm that CRT actually has seating for 130, this may explain if anyone misheard 30. She also told me that parade and fireworks viewing is NOT in the typical FP+ reserved spot but in the actually castle four-quart area, not sure where that is... just relaying what I was told... If nothing else then we know there will be no more than 130 for the Soiree and possibly as little as 100.

:thumbsup2 thanks for finding out more info. 100-130 doesn't sound like too many people for this. I don't know exactly where this viewing spot is either.

I'm going on the same night :goodvibes it is a lot of guessing right now, but I think they are staggering guests arrival to CRT. my arrival time is 10:00. I think the soiree doesn't actually start until 10:15. So yes I'd say the actual dessert party is 10:15-11:00.

I have a question!

We have the Soiree booked for October 9th. When looking at info for this event online, I found this:

Reservations are highly recommended for the Dessert Soiree at Cinderella’s Royal Table, taking place at both 10:15 PM and 11:45 PM on September 1, 9 and 12, 2014; and at 10:15 PM only on September 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28 and October 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 31, 2014.

Here is my question. Per the above, it looks like only soirees on September 1, 9, and 12 will have the 11:45PM seating. However, on various Facebook groups, people have said they have booked the 11:45PM seating on other nights, including my night. I booked the morning this was announced and the CM said she didn't see any time on October 9th other than a 9:55 seating.

Now I'm wondering if both the information online and the CM were incorrect, since people are saying they have a late party booked on various nights... OR if the late seating for my night booked up super fast... thoughts??? (We would REALLY prefer the later party!)

Another person from the dark side here! ;) We are booked for Sept 19. I am trying to figure out if this is more of a wishes buffet thing or a true "character meal." It is only supposed to last 30 minutes as far as I can tell so they have to cycle through 100-200 guests and 5 characters in a really short time. Not sure how that is gonna work. And is photo pass going to be there or is it personal cameras only like a normal time at CRT?

I asked the CM if we would be able to take pictures with the villains during the event. She said, "Sure, as long as you bring your own camera." so no photographers...

We're booked the same night, on the arrival time in my "ADR" is 11:25pm... That seems awfully late....

. Confused... there are many reports so far that say there will be Disney photographers there..

And the CM we booked through tried to up sell us MM (we already have it) because PP photographers will be on hand for pictures, and "all party pictures would be available via MM". Wish they'd give the dang CMs some solid info on these events prior to selling tix. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

could be but I find it hard to believe they won't be photographers there..

Above is what I was told too! She tried to upsell me the Memory Maker package, but I already purchased it and she said thats good because the photographers will be taking picture for MM!!

I just think it would be very hard logistically for photopass to follow each of those characters around to various tables. Composing shots around tables is very tricky. Additionally, lighting differs throughout the restaurant, and those photographers don't typically change the camera settings.

I could see them having one character in the lobby with photopass, where Cinderella greets guests typically. If that's the case, the CMs that said PP would be there, as well as the ones who said they wouldn't..... could both be right.

This is what I was guessing as well. Great minds... or totally wrong in the same kinda way... ;)

I was able to get in for the 31st!! :cool1: I'm so excited to hear the reviews and how it all works. This is our first mnsshp too!

Hope to see you then!! I will be in a modified Snow White costume (blue top, yellow shorts red head band) so as to NOT mortifiy my 13yo daughter. She will be in a vintage Minnie Costume. She gets to have all the FUN! :lmao:

Lady Tremaine perhaps?

I slept on it, just pounced. Jury is still out (depending on whether the mr faints dead away when I tell him & the early party-goers reviews).

Called an hour ago, had a 2 minute wait to speak to CM. We always visit the Sunday after the race. Ever since they had the year where a party tix was included with race fee that date has gotten crazy crowded.

We'll be there 10/5, ADR is set for 11:25 pm, the earlier one was sold out already.

we, too, got the MM upsell pitch. Out of hand I turned it down but now will need to research it to see if it's worth our while.;)

Do you mean Halloween night? Did you get them today? If you did I am happy for you but confused I tried to get tickets for 3 for that night because I already had MNSSHP tickets and was told that the Sinister Soiree was sold out for Halloween :confused3 I ended up having to get tickets for October 21 instead:thumbsup2.

I am now reading on Facebook that they have added a second seating to almost every night. So this means double the number of people for reserved parade and fireworks?

Which seating would you think is best to maximize everything? They didnt ask what seating I wanted just told me to be there at 10:05.

I'm just confused by this. It's my parents 40th anniversary-- we've got a group. I guess I'm just upset because due to the size of the group I can't keep adding all these extras-- we are 8. So I've already added the party-- then the F&W premium came up and I was upset I couldn't add that. The party was expensive enough for all of us, I can't spend another $800. :-( Also one of the thrills is meeting the villains- they cut the mix & mingle but added the dance party and I thought- awesome we can see villains- but now if the villains are all at this event what does that mean? Will the villains dance party be over at 10?

I wish like anything I could add the 11.45 seating of this.... It's killing me that I can't.
