Sinister Soiree Questions

Does anyone know how long you have in the castle portion of this event? I have a 9:55 seating so am wondering when the seating is prior and after my seating to get an idea how long we have. Thanks.

It starts at 10:15 and I read a few places that it's suppose to last 45 minutes

To address a couple concerns; they said on the podcast yesterday that the party is limited to 30ish people per event.

Also, I recommend calling the dining line to book rather than the even number listed. I only waited 5 minutes.

30 people per seating?! Can that really be right!? I can't imagine Disney not filling the place with as much money -- I mean people ;) -- as possible, but that's AMAZING if true.

Glad to find a thread of people excited about this event! I'm booked for 10/2. I posted this on another thread too but I saw today that someone from the Disney mom's panel answered the question about where the reserved viewing area for the fireworks and parade would be.

"The preferred viewing location for Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade and the HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular is in the same place, which is right in front of Cinderella Castle right behind the Partners Statue (Walt Disney and Mickey holding hands)."

Is this a good location?

That can't be correct. Let's say the castle can hold 200 - 250 per ( guesstimate ) character meal in there ordinarily. I'm sure that would be exactly what would be done for each seating time.

Agreed. I actually just called the club level IPO to see if they could answer any of my questions but they had to ask me how to spell "soiree!" Then they just read me exactly what's on the website, so no help there. I guess I just need to be patient, but it's never been one of my virtues...

:lmao: Most of the CMs may not even be up to speed about this new event yet.
I think our best info is going to come from the people right here on the boards after the first few parties.

Hmmmmm. One the one hand, it makes no sense that Disney wouldn't try to get as much money as possible. On the other hand, it makes no sense that they could believe that in the 45 minute time frame of this party they could get all 6 villains around to take pictures with 200 people while seating and feeding said 200 people. I'll be interested to see what information trickles out about this. Still super excited either way! :yay:

I like the other thread, too, but I can't get enough talk about this soiree within a party, so checking in here, too! :) When this event was first announced, I was convinced I would not be interested because of the price tag. As the day went on, I realized I had not stopped thinking about it all day and I better just book, darn it, before it sells out! Got our tickets and now seeing a couple reports that our night is sold out. Whew! I could not be happier to have it in the bag, pricepoint bedarned. It been exhausting! :rotfl2:

I simply cannot WAIT to hear reports of partygoers start to come in! :cool1:

I am super excited for the 1st party to happen on Monday to see how this plays out - looking forward to hopeful feedback from people there. I am hoping a lot of the usual local Disney bloggers will be there ready to report back.

When I first heard about this event within an event, I'll admit, it ticked me off, on principle. Paying extra for an event we were already paying extra to attend rubbed me the wrong way, especially when it came on the heels of the failed Villains Unleashed event, and the news that the Mix and Mingle portion of the stage show had been removed.

Then we found we kept talking about it. The reserved spot for fireworks and parade would be nice - no battling for a decent place to watch from. And we DID choose the MNSSHP for the chance to see the villains - a seated event with them would mean less time standing in line to see them (assuming the news the event is limited to 30 people is true). And this is our anniversary trip, dang it! We aren't doing any other VIP type experiences. We DESERVE a little splurge, don't we?? And so... We booked it this morning. I do like that you can cancel for a refund, so we we'll see what the early partygoers have to say in review, and go from there.

Has anyone been able to confirm it's limited to 30 ppl per seating?? We asked our CM this morning but she said they weren't told how many tickets were available. She'd only say most nights were either sold out or close to being.

Yea I am really glad I booked this when I first found out about it. I was sure that most (if not all) nights would sell out, and the ability to cancel without penalty made it a no brainer for me. At least now I have the option to go and if it turns out to be a total waste of money I'll just cancel it. But I like what I am hearing about it so far, and I am excited at the possibility that it will be awesome.

Wow 30? I saw someone post they heard 70, and I thought that was probably low, but that it would explain the high ticket price. I was figuring they would fill CRT to capacity. If it is 30, then I am extremely glad we booked it. I find that really hard to believe though!

I saw a post elsewhere that the podcast here on disboards said it was 30, which would definitely explain he price tag.

- Also, she asked if I had purchased the Memory Maker package. When I said I had not, she suggested considering it as the pictures from the Soiree would be a part of it. That suggests to me that official Disney photographers will be there.

This is our 71st trip to WDW and while we love all of our usual activities, it's nice to have something new to look forward to. I also booked the F&W premium package. I guess I'm deeply in the dark side! :darth:

A) we do have memory maker so it would be really cool if they have something special up their sleeve in that department.
B) 71st trip! :scared1:
C) we too booked the F&W VIP thing. Now that was pricey. Hopefully it turns out to be worth the money.

30 people? That would be awesome! Cant wait to hear the first reports coming back next week.

I did hear Pete say on the podcast something about 30 people but maybe he meant 30 tables instead of individual people? That number just seems so small! You would think way more days would be sold out by now if it were just 30 people total. And think of all the money Disney would be missing out on when the restaurant has the capacity to comfortably double that number at least.

I'm skeptical, but it would be awesome if the event were that intimate.

I booked Monday afternoon, after thinking it over that morning. This sort of event caught my eye right away. But my disappointment with the Villains Unleashed event had me hesitating about booking this. That was the first time I was ever disappointed in Disney. It was so overcrowded! But I think this is going to be 1000 times better, at least I hope so!

Here's why I booked:

1) It has to be limited to Restaurant capacity
2) The designated parade viewing hopefully means there will be some elbow room. I don't care about being in the front (I'm tall and can usually see over people anyway) I just don't like when people shove in last minute to see the parade especially if I have been holding my spot for a long time, so a designated area sounds great to me.
3) Super excited about this being in CRT - I haven't been since I was a little girl. Always wanted to go as an adult but personally it seems like CRT is best for families or for couples. But this event is perfect for me to enjoy CRT without getting those single blues. :goodvibes
4)This event includes desserts, non-alcoholic cocktails and takeaways - all good things to me.
5)And above all I am so excited about the chance to actually get pictures with the Villains. I bought the memory maker for Villains Unleashed and only got one picture with the storm troopers. If I can get pictures with even two villains in the 45 minutes of this party that would be twice as I many as I got in the 5 hours of Villains Unleashed! So hoping to get more use from my memory maker at this event - and luckily this is still within the 30 days of download!

So yes my sister and I are both in the excited club for the Villains Sinister Soiree. We are booked for 9/23 and we are repeating our costumes from Villains Unleashed - The Siamese Cats from Lady and the Tramp :goodvibes

We booked the 10:15pm on Sept. 9. I had sent the IPO a few questions. These were her answers. Hope this helps.

To check in for the event, visit the Will Call booth outside the main entrance of Magic Kingdom park from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Starting at 7:30 PM, you may check in at the parade and fireworks viewing area in the central plaza by the Castle Forecourt Stage.

•Once you have checked in, you’ll receive a wristband identification, which must be presented to enter the preferred viewing areas and Cinderella’s Royal Table.

•If you choose not to participate in the preferred parade or fireworks viewing, you can check in at Cinderella’s Royal Table at your designated seating time.

I would arrive early to take advantage of all the night has to offer. There are 2 Soirees, one at 10:15pm and one at 11:45pm. You are set on the 10:15pm Soiree. There is no specific time for the Soiree

We are super excited and I'm glad to find this happy thread :cool1:! We are booked for 9/23.

Our first visit to MNSSHP two years ago wasn't a good one - it poured down rain, canceld the first parade and no headless horseman. Then we had everyone crowding us trying to watch the second parade. We also ended up getting told to move from our fireworks spot by a cast member (even though we weren't in a walkway and we saw other people eventually take over our original location). It was a stressful time. If nothing else, we will now have a designated spot for the parade and fireworks, which will hopefully help us tremendously since we have a knack for picking bad places.

This is showing up in MDE, but it has a reservation for 4 instead of 3 with my name listed twice. The amount they charged to our credit card is correct. I'm not sure if I should call about that or just go with it. I may end up calling later, but waited on hold for 1hr 24 minutes on Monday so I needed a break!

Can anyone tell me exactly where the "will call booth" is? When facing the front of MK entrance (before entering), is it to left, the right, is it by the information place?
