We booked the 11:45 party on September 9th after much debating about whether to do that one or the 10:15. Am I correct that the MNSSHP ends at midnight? So the 11:45 party would get us a bit more time in the park right? I'm just trying to make sure we made the right choice.

And for those complaining... we all make choices about where to spend our money at Disney. There's something for everyone. That's whats so great about Disney. I think the dining plan is too expensive so I bring my own food. But I don't complain about those who "can afford it" while I bring my lunch to the parks. However, I love the extra parties and choose to pay for them. I'm actually glad they are sort of expensive because otherwise it would be impossible to get tickets to them.

Thumbs up! :)

There is a whole very lengthy thread on the event, all questions should be answered there to avoid people having to search two threads

Well that thread seemed to be mostly about complaining about the event. The actual questions were getting lost in all the whining. So I thought it might be good to have a different thread where those who actually booked the event could ask questions and share info. I have additional questions also but that thread didn't seem right for the people who are excited about the event. But whatever,... I don't post much (for this reason) so I wasn't aware that there were regulations about how many threads per topic...

No regulations!! I know what you mean... crankiness begets crankiness online, right?! :) But don't be afraid -- some of us on that other thread ARE jazzed about it and say so. :)

Here's what I pasted together from the Disney website and FB post from yesterday -- some duplication, obviously...

Villains’ Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle

--> Disney FB post, with answer to a question below by Disney rep:

Lady Tremaine takes over Cinderella’s Royal Table after everyone has gone to bed, and she’s invited some of the most evil friends and special guests for a decadent dessert party (maybe you’ll see the Evil Queen, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil or Dr. Facilier?).

Lady Tremaine will welcome guests, and her personal piano player provides live music. (She’ll sing a few haunting solos while guests enjoy the delicious desserts inspired by the villains.)

Cost is $99 ages 3 and older, plus tax (gratuity included). Admission to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is required – this is a separate ticketed event not included in Magic Kingdom Park admission. Tickets for the soiree are limited and reservations recommended! Call 407-939-5262 – no online reservations.

Your ticket includes:
- Preferred Viewing for the 8:15 p.m. Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade
Watch the Headless Horseman lead off the parade on a hair-raising ride, followed by a collection of frightful floats and some of your favorite Disney Characters in Halloween costumes.
- Preferred Viewing for HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular
The Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion and some of the most notorious Disney Villains light up the sky to wicked remixes of their favorite songs.
- Dessert Soiree at Cinderella’s Royal Table
Lady Tremaine shares her musical talents while you enjoy themed desserts, specialty non-alcoholic drinks, entertainment and visits from some of your favorite Disney villains. Each guest gets an autograph card and souvenir Maleficent dragon cup.

If you choose not to participate in the preferred parade or fireworks viewing, you can check in at Cinderella’s Royal Table at your designated seating time.

I think the second event (11:45) allows the extra 15 minutes and then also leaving the park after the main crowd. I am sure there will still folks out and about just because there is only a 15 minute difference. I mean, someone way back by BRTMRR at midnight will not be out of the park at 12:01..but many will be. Enjoy . I am one (A whiner, to you)who is not crazy for event within an event things, but mostly because I don't want it to take away from what the main event is/was supposed to offer. If characters that would have normally been out for all party goers who paid a decent price to see , are now NOT out and in this selective event, yeah, not happy. Especially since it occurred AFTER selling tix to the gen public. Disney has it's behind covered though since they have not announced the MNSSHP official event program yet. Those of us going to the first one are true guinea pigs and I'm really hoping the reviews/event are positive. If having the extra 15 minutes is important to you , you should probably try to re-book for the later event.

I am going to the 10:15 event on 9/9.

I welcome a new thread with less complaining too.

I don't think that some details are clearly defined with Disney yet, but I will keep my eyes peeled - like where are the viewing areas, etc.

Yes...I think that you will get a little extra time in the park with that later ressie.

I don't know if you will be able to do anything after you get out but it will be cool to be in the park that late when it is so empty.

I'm going on 10/3 and share your excitement! I also have lots of questions, but like you said, we'll probably have to wait for the first event to have answers.

I'm (hopefully) going on 10/3 with my friend and am incredibly excited! So I welcome a thread that has people just as excited as I am that aren't trying to throw off my groove :woohoo:

As my DD and I are going as the Step-sisters we are looking forward to bonding time with our 'Mom' on 10/21.

I will be watching all the postings as time leads up to the event. Super excited!!!

We are going on 10/21 also!! My 8yo granddaughter, husband and me!! I would rather spend $100 per person on this than $80 on Dinner at CRT that I would not eat! We all chose what is most important for us to spend our money on while at Disney and no I am not rich, but we only go on a true vacation once in awhile. Thank You for having a positive thread that I can return to for additional information as it becomes available!

Another person from the dark side here! ;) We are booked for Sept 19. I am trying to figure out if this is more of a wishes buffet thing or a true "character meal." It is only supposed to last 30 minutes as far as I can tell so they have to cycle through 100-200 guests and 5 characters in a really short time. Not sure how that is gonna work. And is photo pass going to be there or is it personal cameras only like a normal time at CRT?

Welcome to the dark side! LOL! ;)

With the mention of an "autograph card", I was wondering if this was photopass related...??

I read that each party was limited to 70 guests but who knows for sure.

Is the parade/fireworks area the same as the FP+ area for festival of fantasy? I wonder how much that holds... :confused3

If it's like the SWW event you will be handed a little bag when you enter with pre-printed autographed pictures. That's all it is. But good because any meets will probably be very choreographed and hurried in order to accommodate the number of people in that short amount of time. You may also get a special photopass card with some Villains pictures you can download but I don't think a free photo was mentioned with the package so I'd guess that's not real likely.

Actually - I'm now going to guess the autograph card is a single card that have the signatures preprinted on. And the card may be a picture of all of them.

That would be really exclusive! Awesome

That was my first thought. When we did the original villains night on Friday the 13th last year they gave us a preprinted card.

My grandmother, mother and I will be there on 10/21! We are excited, we thought it would be fun to do since this is our first trip to WDW :) We will be surprising my Grandmother with the event! party:

I'm glad you guys agree a new thread was in order. I was trying to find information in the other thread but reading 20+ pages of people upset was too depressing. The way some people describe the people who would buy tickets to this event,... well, it's just not how I picture myself at all. I work very hard at an hourly wage job and we are not rich or even anywhere remotely close. Granted we don't have kids, but still it takes a long time to save for these trips. I am a frugal person and I don't just throw money away. But vacation is vacation,... you know?

Anyhow, it says to check in between 4-6 at the entrance. We were planning on going to MK around noon though (we are AP holders). I guess that means we will have to leave the park to check in and then go back in? The CM seemed confused with the question and I didn't get an answer.

One more thing,.. I was able to book the event by calling the regular dining reservation number. The hold was 2 minutes as opposed to over an hour using the phone number they said to call for the event.

Oh, and what movies should I watch to prepare for this? I don't know who these villains are. I love Disney World but I haven't actually watched hardly any Disney movies. I have to confess I was more interested in the parade/fireworks viewing area as well as just the fun of being in the castle for a VIP party.
