I swear the only times I witness single rider line issues is at TT. What is it about that line? I once saw a woman have an epic fit because the CM wouldn't let her ride with her young daughter after they had gone through the single rider line. I hope WDW stands behind their CMs when they don't allow people to whine their way onto TT this way, and they don't get in trouble for being "mean".
In general, if there is some reason your party needs or wants to be in the same car or beside each other, do not get in the single rider line. It's that simple. It's not meant for people to use to get a shorter wait but still ride together. You give up your guarantee to ride together when you opt for the shorter wait. If anyone in your party cannot ride completely alone, single rider is not for you.
