These are the top ten signs you really need to stop calling Disney Dining:

10. When you go to dial the phone to call your husband, mom or someone else you call all the time and the next thing you hear is, "Thanks for calling Disney Dining!" because your fingers are so used to dialing those numbers...

9. Your phone bill is 15 pages long and only 5 calls don't have a 407 area code...

8. The cast member hears your name and asks you if you've found a dinner for December 4th yet...

7. You can tell the cast member at least the first 6 digits of the confirmation number they are about to give you before they start reciting it...

6. Your four year old asks, "Are you calling Disney World again?" every time you pick up the phone...

5. Each time you call you pray you don't get the same cast member twice in the same shift...because then you start to look obsessed instead of organized :rotfl:

4. Your kids don't tell people you are eating at the Castle they say, "We got a table at Cinderella's Royal Table for a breakfast or lunch between 11/30 and 12/6 for 5 people."

3. Everytime your mom calls she asks how you changed the itinerary since you last spoke to her...

2. When you call to cancel ADRs you start listing numbers one by one and the cast member says, "That's okay, I'll just pull up your itinerary"...then they see it is 12 pages of cancelled ressies and say, "You know what, maybe we better just do them one at a time"...

AND the #1 sign that you call Disney Dining WAY too often...

1. The same smart-mouthed 4 year old says (after watching Lilo and Stitch)--"If 'Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten then how come you have to keep calling to ask them to let us have a table there?"

Surely I can't be the only one this is happening to?!?! Share your signs that you belong in Disney Dining Anonymous...the 12 step group for those with OCDDD (Obsessive Compulsive Disney Dining Disorder)!

LOL :rotfl2: I haven't gotten there yet but then again I don't have small children, you are just being a great mother :cool1:

OMG, I recognize a few too many of those signs! :rotfl2:

Thanks for a great laugh this morning. :rotfl: And no, you are definitely not the only one this is happening to!

It is the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think about before I go to sleep...Please let there be a better time slot for LTT and please let help me figure out how to get WCC BACK into the intinerary! :rotfl2:

I have Disney Dining programmed into my cell phone.

I made a reservation (and paid a deposit) for a vacation we may not be able to take but I HAD to have a ressie # to make ADRs at 180 days IN CASE we can go!

I have a chart drawn up for the above mentioned vacation showing which park each day along with the ADRs I will need. I will make a separate chart for the morning I call in so I can request the ADRs that book fastest first. I will get up at 5:45 AM local time to prepare to dial at 5:56 AM. Since DH will already be at work I will have to dial my cell and the land line both by myself, which may require some practice.

I changed our October ADRs 7 times after I made them at 88 days out. Should we assume that I will change the ADRs for our next trip at least 14 times since I will have 6 months to stew about them? :confused3

This is why I use a TA......the ones that I use, Dreams Unlimited Travel, do all your priority seatings for you and also do an itinerary, it cannot get better than that... No long distance phone calls for me, I get what I want and I did not have to do it.

I do understand though that some of you have to do it yourself........I usually am rather lay back about my Disney Trips and only book what I have to i.e. Cirque, Fantasmic Dinner, maybe a few speciality dinners if I so choose..

Happy Planning..

:rotfl: Here...this might help with #9....1-800-828-0228 is the number to Disney Travel and you push option 3 for Dining....no charges. :teeth: Then you'll just end up like me, and have the 800 number memorized better than anyone else's number! :rotfl2:

Luckily I have free long distance:)
And I do have a DU agent...once I realized I was changing ADRs this much I asked if I could take over the dining portion of the trip rather than bugging him all day...I actually like this part, which I think is why I've gotten so obsessed with it:)

OOPS...those two would be me. :confused3

I am so right there with you! But planning all the meals is a blast! I even have a spreadsheet with each meal, the park we will be at each day (or part of a day) any special events we want to see (like the park opening ceremony at MK or MVMCP or fireworks). I have SO gone round the bend! But I'm loving every minute of it!

Only SIX MORE DAYS!!!

I have it on the cell phone as well. Last night I used my husband's cell and dialed the number and he said, "You didn't have to dial I have the Dining Line programmed in." :rotfl:

Today my DH says...do you have all the ADR's in an excel spreadsheet yet???

I check the menus out daily to look for updates...and DH has ALL of the menus on his Palm Pilot.... :rotfl2:

Until I read this thread....I actually thought this was normal behavior!!! :rotfl:

We have the OCDDD (Obsessive Compulsive Disney Dining Disorder) I fear!!!

Yes, I think I have OCDDD too, and the only cure will be one more reservation at WCC at the right time on the right night! :rotfl2:

Lol thats pretty good everytime we put together out sheet for our vacation we have to call wdw dine for the conformation numbers lol everytime cause hubby not we loses the numbers and stuff :cool1:

The CM told me today that any resort will print out a list of all your reservations for you! Even though I've already done my own (compulsive... cough... cough) spreadsheet, I'm sure I'll have to stop and ask for theirs!

And then once you think you have it down, you think of something else that is important that conflicts with a reservation and you are off again... making changes, refining, making it PERFECT!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Great thread, some of those things sound familiar to me, too!

:goodvibes Thanks for the laugh and the reassurance. I thought I was the only one that had the disorder. :goodvibes
