Signature restaurant - what kind of shirt?

I have a really cute red crinkly skirt with gold, bronze and dark red beading that I really wanted to wear to Jiko. Normally I wear this with a gold or black tank top, but since the dress code for Jiko states no sleeveless shirts, I was wondering if anyone had another suggestion to wear with it. Thanks!

How about just adding a shrug, sweater or pashmina? I normally wear a sleeveless dress or sleeveless shell to WDW signature restaurants & have never had a problem. It could be because I am always cold, so I have something over my shoulders.

I personally think (and could be wrong) the no sleeveless shirt rule is geared more towards men than towards women. There are many very elegant women's clothes without sleeves whereas for men, it's just very casual tank tops (not to mention the hair thing :crazy2: )

We have packed only shorts and tees. We have several "nice" restaraunts on our schedule. Is this ok to wear, or should I pack something more formal?

Any of the "Signature" Restaurants have a Business Casual Dress code. Those would be:
Cali. Grill
Narcoosees
Citricos
Artist Point
BlueZoo
Flying Fish
Yachtsman Steakhouse(?)
I can't think of any others off the top of my head

If you made ressies at any of the places with a dress code, they would have informed you when you called. If for some reason they didn't, the code is pretty much common sense - No tanks, cut-offs, swimsuits, coverups etc... Nice shorts & shirts are fine. DH & DS usually wear nice khaki shorts & polo shirts, I usually wear a sundress or slacks & nice shell.
From what I have seen, they are very lax about actually enforcing the code, I have seen all of the "forbidden" clothes at the above restaurants since they instituted the code. I, personally, am more comfortable dressing for a nice dinner - but it seems to be a purely personal decision even with the code.

lol

If I do wear anything sleeveless, I *will* have my underarms shaved or waxed- either way completely hair free, lol!!

Bringing a shrug might be a good idea. Thanks.

Thanks for the help! My friend actually booked the places, but those don't sound very familiar. I'll check again with her to be sure, but thanks for the insight. Every little bit helps! :thumbsup2

The "sleeveless shirts" rule applies to men only. Ladies may wear sleeveless tops or dresses.
