Side dishes at Le Cellier?

I'm under the assumption that if I order the mushroom filet at Le Cellier dinner, I could swap the risotto for another side dish that is offered with a different entree (I know I definitely can't swap for one of the bigger side dishes that is under a separate list). I have made the cream cheese mashed potato recipe myself (from All Ears) and it is delicious. However, I see a potato gratin with gruyere cheese listed as a side with a different entree on the menu at All Ears.

If you were going to skip the risotto and go for a different side dish, which would it be (feel free to list more than one!)? Anyone ever have the potato gratin...how is it? It sounds like something I would like so I'm curious. I'm not so into risotto though, I prefer some type of potato with my steak (medium rare of course!! ;))

We've ordered a different side than what was paired with a certain item on the menu in the past without incident.

I've asked for a different item w/ the mushroom filet twice & both times I was told that I could only sub the risotto with cream cheese potatoes. Last time, we ordered a few extra sides (spinach gratin & potato gratin), but we had to pay a la carte. They were both okay, but the cream cheese potatoes have been really yummy every time.
