Mom2aidannpiper, I absolutely love your ring! It is beautiful! I hate that sapphires have become the new trend too. My wedding band is diamonds and sapphires and I've had it for 4 years now. It used to be unique!

Well I got my ring with sapphires back in August before Kate and Will got engaged. I don't mind that they are trendy. I think they are so pretty and I'm glad other people are appreciating colored gemstones.

Yeah, it wouldn't bug me about gemstones being trendy if iI didn't have people actually accusing me of copying the "royals" lol. It gets a bit old - though it's always from random strangers

I had my ring picked out long before they got engaged too

I let it roll off my back, but I will be glad for the day when it is less trendy for e-rings to be gemstones!

I don't mind at all! It's by Ungar & Ungar. I saw another of their similar designs in a shop window a long time ago, but the shop was closed so I couldn't get any info from them. I'd dismissed it at the time as being too extravagant but as more time passed I couldn't get it out of my mind. It took me nearly 3 years to track down the designer and find another stockist!

We haven't been able to get a good pic of my e-ring it is a 3-stone round cut ring, about 1.05 carats..I LOVE IT!!! We got engaged on March 14, 2011 at the Rose Garden in front of the castle! We will be getting married at Disney on July 1, 2012! SO EXCITED!!!!

Hi there everyone. Just enjoying a quiet morning at work and thought I'd read through the wedding board. I just wanted to chime in with my rings.

My DF and I got engaged in February 2011. He proposed after Wishes on the first night of our stay. He didn't get me a ring because he knows I'm particular about my jewelry, but we got a promise ring at DHS the next day. So first is my promise ring that I now wear on my right hand always.

Next is my Great Grandmother's engagement ring that my diamond came from. The ring didn't fit and I don't wear gold. So I had the diamond removed and put into a new setting.

And last, this is my e-ring. DF and I went to Jarred's on our way to Vermont for my college graduation and found this setting. It was perfect. I couldn't take my eyes off it. And when they took the stone out of the old setting and cleaned it up, it sparkled like the sun and all the ladies in the shop came to look at it under their little microscope. I LOVE my ring. It's a round stone in a emerald cut shape frame of micro-pave diamonds.

We havn't decided on bands yet but we would like to have the two little side diamonds from my great grandma's ring set into a simple band.
