Show me your lightsabers!

The Husband and I are beyond ourselves in geeky joy over finding we can MAKE OUR OWN LIGHTSABERS at TT.

Anyone have any pics of their lightsabers to share? I am dying of curiosity to see what they look like/how it works to put them together!!

I don't have a pic but you might enjoy DS's story on our recent trip.

DS wanted desperately(as does every other child there) to be picked for JTA. When the boys on both sides of him got picked, his disappointment was tremendous(as every other not picked child). He said he didn't want to try again and didn't want to stay and watch. Thank goodness for it was HOT and limited shade. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't throwing a fit, he was just disappointed.
Well, we went into TT and started looking around. I made my purchases and DH said he & DS would be done in a minute. We headed out of the store and found some shade.
Out walks DS, BEAMING from ear to ear. "Look what I made!" It was the double light saber(red). DH walked up to us and said, "I think that took care of it." Later when he was asked about JTA, he just stated that he hadn't gotten picked...no pout, nothing.
DS bought it with is own $$, about $25. It has sounds and lights up. Really too big to play with inside. He somehow waited until we got all the way home to play with it. However, within minutes of our return he was out on the front lawn battling the Dark Force.

My picture is on the other computer so I'll have to post it later, but my boys made double ones, green on one end and red on the other, but I was a little disappointed because only one end lights up. They still love them, though. They were $22.95 for a double and $19.95 for a single (I think). They had step by step instructions how to put them together, kind of like an assembly line.

Great idea... DS might need an early birthday present! Never thought my kid would be a Star Wars fan!

My DS8 just did one and I took video of him making it. I will try to see if I can make snap shots of the process. He loves it. We were there during SW weekends so it got a little crowded but during the week it wasn't so bad. He made a double red lightsaber(25.00). there r also singles at20.00 If you make the double you can choose different colors on both ends although ony one side lights up. He did not care about that since he has about 8 single light up store bought ones at home! lol Have fun!
